Every photo you scan gets stamped with the day you scanned it, not the day it was taken. Sort your library by date and 1987 ends up next to last Tuesday. Timeline Scan fixes that. It figures out when each scanned photo was really taken and puts your collection back in the order your family lived it.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Add your scanned photos from the Photos app or the Files app.
2. Timeline Scan reads every clue, like printed timestamps, photo lab markings, and the people, fashion, and settings in the picture, to estimate a date.
3. Review your photos on an interactive timeline and adjust anything you like.
4. Keep them in your Family Library, or write the corrected dates back to the Photos app.
Your pictures are never altered or recompressed. We only fix the dates and the details stored in each file.
FAMILY LIBRARY
One place for the whole family's photos. Your Family Library keeps your scanned photos online, in date order, on your phone and on the web.
- Every photo sits on one timeline, from the oldest print to last summer.
- Search in plain words, or browse by album, by person, and on a map.
- Invite family members to look through it with you. It is free for them.
- Share an album with a link, and turn the link off any time.
- You get 100 GB of space.
- Download your full-size originals whenever you like.
- Every date, name, place, and note travels inside the file when you download it.
Photos stay online for a limited time after we date them. The optional Family Library subscription keeps every photo online for as long as you subscribe. Choose monthly or yearly, and cancel anytime.
FIND AND FIX
Not sure what needs help? Find & Fix scans the photo library on your device and shows exactly which photos are stuck on the wrong date: scans, screenshots, and WhatsApp saves. It uploads only small previews. The corrected dates go straight back into the Photos app.
FACES MAKE DATING SMARTER
Optionally tag family members with a birthdate, and Timeline Scan uses who appears in each photo to pin down the year. Face features are processed only with your explicit consent and only to help date and organize your photos.
SIMPLE, HONEST PRICING
Start with a free trial, no purchase required. After that, buy a one-time pack for the photos you want dated. Packs are not a subscription.
Keeping your library online is optional. The Family Library subscription comes monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
