Every photo you scan gets stamped with the day you scanned it, not the day it was taken. Sort your library by date and 1987 ends up next to last Tuesday. Timeline Scan fixes that. It figures out when each scanned photo was really taken and puts your collection back in the order your family lived it.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Add your scanned photos from Photos.
2. Timeline Scan reads every clue like, printed timestamps, photo lab markings, and the people, fashion, and settings in the picture, to estimate a date.
3. Review your photos on an interactive timeline and adjust anything you like.
4. Write the corrected dates back to Photos.
Your pictures are never altered or recompressed. We only fix the dates/ metadata.

Not sure what needs help? The Find & Fix feature scans your photo library on your device and shows exactly which photos are stuck on the wrong date: scans, screenshots, and WhatsApp saves.
FACES MAKE DATING SMARTER
Optionally tag family members with a birthdate, and Timeline Scan uses who appears in each photo to pin down the year. Face features are processed only with your explicit consent and only to help date your photos.
