One subscription now covers you both. • When one of you subscribes, you can both send without limit. Your partner sees "Premium, through" your name, and has nothing to pay. • Inviting your partner comes first now: one tap sends them a text with your username. • If your partner's name isn't found, you can send the invite right there. • A short question at the end of sign-up asks how you heard about us. You can skip it. • The send animation is smoother on phones with less memory.

Sending a message feels new. • Your message folds itself into a paper plane and flies off to your partner. • When theirs arrives, it flies in and unfolds right in front of you. • After you send, your streak card shows today's heart, and when your partner gets it. • Inviting your partner is easier: the invite now links to a page with your username and both app stores.

Writing your first letter is easier. • Pick a starter, then write. The one you chose sits right above the box, so you can see it the whole time. • The keyboard no longer covers what you are writing. • Changed your mind? Clear the box and the starters come back. • Going back from the Connect step works.

Your messages now have a calendar. Every morning since you and your partner connected is a heart: your half on the left, theirs on the right. A whole heart is a morning you both showed up. Tap any day to read what you each wrote. Also in this version: • Messages is now a Feed and a Calendar. The Feed groups every morning together, both sides of the conversation in one place. • Notifications no longer give the message away. You see who wrote and the question they answered, and you open the app to read it. • Sign in on your iPad and your phone at once. One account, as many devices as you like, without being signed out. • Ranks and your streak load before you open them, instead of after. • The example under a prompt clears when you tap to write, not after your first word.

Write your first letter before you even connect. Pick one of the three prompts couples answer most, or start from a blank page. It waits, sealed, and lands the morning after your partner joins. Also in this version: • Going back in setup works, and going back to your letter lets you edit it. • A shorter setup: your name, your letter, when it lands, notifications, then your partner. • Invite your partner by text, with your letter already waiting for them. • Rainy Day Notes explain themselves: forget to write a message from the prompts one day and we send your note in its place. Your streak holds. • Fixes for notifications on Android.

Unsend and edit now wait for the server before telling you they worked. If something fails, your message stays scheduled and we say so plainly. Your draft is saved. Write with no signal, close the app, come back later — it's still there. More variety in the daily prompts. No repeated emoji within a week. Deleting your account now offers you a copy of every message first, so nothing is lost by accident. You're told when a Rainy Day Note goes out for you. Streaks stay accurate when you unsend. Clearer wording throughout: which delivery time is yours and which is theirs, that your message lands tomorrow, and plain English instead of error codes when something goes wrong.

RAINY DAY NOTES Write a note ahead of time and we'll hold onto it. Miss a day and we send it for you, so one bad day doesn't end your streak. You start with one, and you earn another whenever a friend you invited sends their first message. DELIVERY TIME, WHERE YOU CAN FIND IT Choosing when your message lands used to be buried in Settings. It's now a button on the compose screen. Change it and a message you've already written moves with it — anything written before midnight keeps the time it was scheduled with. LARGE TEXT WORKS NOW If you use a bigger text size, screens no longer cut off mid-sentence. Everything re-measures the moment you change it. Good Morning is a little brighter this time. A NEW LOOK A new app icon and launch screen — the paper plane that carries your note. WRITING ACTUALLY WORKS NOW The message box stays above the keyboard while you type, so you can always see what you're writing. This was the most annoying thing in the app, and it's gone. A CALMER START The app opens straight to where you left off, without the flash of the welcome screen on the way in. DATES THAT MAKE SENSE Notes now show the day they actually arrived instead of a vague label. ALSO FIXED • No more being sent back to setup after you'd already finished it • Setup asks for your partner's pet name, not a username • Settings shows your app version, which makes reporting a problem easier PREMIUM You can now unlock unlimited notes with a subscription, monthly or yearly. Notifications are fixed. If your partner's note wasn't making your phone light up, that was our bug — the notes were arriving on time, but your phone was never being told about them. Open the app once after updating and you'll start getting them again. You can check anytime in Settings, under Notifications.
