Proofstep: Learn & Calculate
Master math, unlock the tools
$2.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New in 2.0: solve your own equations step by step, unlimited practice with spaced review of mistakes, and progress reports. One purchase, no subscription.
Proofstep is a complete, self-paced math route that teaches the reasoning behind each operation, then helps you practice it, solve your own problems step by step, and see exactly where you stand.
Start with addition and progress through subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, integers, ratios, powers, roots, geometry, algebra, equations, and functions. Each stage builds directly on the one before it.
NEW IN 2.0: STEP-BY-STEP SOLVER
Type your own problem and Proofstep solves it exactly, explains every step, and checks the answer:
- Linear equations with parentheses, fractions, and decimals, such as 2(x - 3) = 14
- Fraction and mixed-number arithmetic with common denominators and simplifying
- Quadratic equations with exact roots in simplest radical form, complex roots, and the vertex
- Percent of a number, "what percent", and percent change
- Proportions with the unknown in any position
Recent problems are saved on your device so you can revisit the steps.
