Version 5.0 makes iChart an economic calendar and nothing else. The watchlist, the charts and all market prices have been removed, along with the paid tier. iChart is now free in full — there is no subscription and nothing to buy. If you had a saved watchlist, it was removed when this version installed. What remains is the calendar, rebuilt as the whole app: the week in order with live countdowns, impact and category filters, per-event alerts at two lead times, Lock Screen countdowns, the Apple Watch app, and the Home Screen widget.

Pinned tiles now show the move, not the category Each pinned asset's tile is colored by how it's actually moving, deep green for a strong gain, deep red for a sharp drop, near-charcoal when it's flat. The scale is tuned per asset class, so a 0.4% forex move and a 3% crypto move both register honestly instead of forex sitting permanently grey. A five-hour spark The mini chart on each tile now draws the last five hours in 15-minute steps, instead of a month of daily closes. It's labelled 5H, because it can legitimately disagree with the daily percentage, gold can be up 2% on the day and falling since lunch. That's information, not a glitch. Closed markets are marked A slim striped ribbon runs along the edge of any tile or row whose market is closed, so a resting price no longer looks like a live one. Extended-hours prices are real, so those stay unmarked, and crypto never gets a ribbon. Optional usage analytics You'll be asked once whether to share usage data. Nothing is collected unless you say yes. It never includes the symbols on your watchlist, anything you type into search, or any financial detail.
