A messenger that only ever holds one other person. End-to-end encrypted, optional encryption lock, and nothing - no contacts, no groups, no feed. Two in the Bush is a private messenger for exactly two people. Not "private" as a feature - private as the whole point: one person, chosen once, and no one else. No contact list. No groups. No strangers. No feed. THE LOCKET Your conversation lives in a locket only the two of you can open. Pairing is deliberate: one of you creates a code, says it to the other out loud, and then you both type one shared secret only the two of you know. If it matches, the locket seals. If it doesn't, it burns and you start over. That little ceremony is real cryptography (the socialist millionaire protocol): it proves no one - not even our server - sits between you. WHAT'S INSIDE - Text, photos, voice notes, and video messages - Everything end-to-end encrypted: our server only ever carries sealed envelopes it cannot open, and deletes them the moment they're delivered - Your history lives only on your phones, optionally encrypted behind a passcode you set - with Face ID as a shortcut once you do - Ten wrong passcode attempts and the conversation burns off that phone - if you set one - Lock the app the moment you switch away, if you want it that way - Notifications never show message content - just a knock WHAT'S DELIBERATELY MISSING - No phone number required, no contact upload, no address book access - No groups, no channels, no discovery, no spam surface - No saving photos to the camera roll - what's in the locket stays in it - No ads, no tracking, no analytics on your messages HONEST LIMITS We can't stop a screenshot - nobody can - but the locket keeps your photos off the camera roll and out of iCloud. Security choices are documented, not marketed: the passphrase is the root secret, and if you forget it, your history is unrecoverable. That's the deal. ENDING IT Unpairing is ceremonial and mutual: the history burns on both phones, visibly. Re-pairing with someone new starts from nothing. One person is worth choosing. Two in the Bush is where that choice lives.
