Colophon: Interlinear Bible
Tap any word: Greek & Hebrew
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Tap any word in the KJV and see the Greek or Hebrew behind it — its sense and how often it appears. Reads offline. No account. No ads.
Colophon is an offline study Bible built on one idea: there are older words under your English, and now you can touch them.
Reverse-interlinear style — tap any English word to see the Greek or Hebrew behind it: the original word, its transliteration, its sense, and how often it appears across Scripture. No account. No feed. No ads. Nothing you read or write ever leaves your device. Just the text and its languages.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Tap any word in the KJV for its Strong's Greek or Hebrew entry — right inside your reading, without losing your place
• Read public-domain translations (KJV, WEB, BSB) fully offline
• Keep notes and highlights that survive every update — your study is never lost
• Search the text, follow cross-references, and read in a calm, distraction-free page
• Free at the core — every translation, Strong's, search, notes, and export
NO ONE'S INTERPRETATION
Colophon carries the text and its original languages, not a doctrinal slant. Public-domain sources, transparently attributed. Your notes and highlights stay on your device — Colophon has no servers and collects nothing about your study.
COLOPHON PRO (optional, one-time)
A single unlock — never a subscription, never a nag — adds the study desk (two translations abreast, verse by verse), notebooks that gather scattered notes into a study, print-ready study sheets, note import, the reading backgrounds beyond the plain page, your own text size, and Backup & Restore: your whole study in one file you keep, on any device, with no account. The study itself is always free.
The words under the words.
Advertising is gone. Colophon carries no ad code, no ad SDK, and no ad-supported tier. Colophon Pro is the only door, and it is still one purchase, never a subscription.
If you had already chosen Sepia, Dark or your own text size, that choice is yours for good. No countdown, and nothing to watch to get it back.
Fixed: tapping a word opened nothing. Tap any word in the KJV or BSB and its Greek or Hebrew opens again — the whole word, edge to edge. In the WEB, which carries no Strong's numbers, a tap now says so and offers the same verse in a text that answers.
A search result now opens on the verse you searched for, not just its chapter.
Hebrew word studies read as one word again. Strong's writes the shewa as a small raised e — tehôwm — and the app carried no such letter, so the phone borrowed one: wrong slant, wrong size, a gap on each side. Colophon now sets the letter itself.
This version also asks once for tracking permission. Colophon reads no identifier and collects nothing whatever you answer; the prompt is required because the App Store privacy record still lists a device identifier left over from the old ad-supported version. The Privacy Policy explains it in full.
