LowPoly 1.5 — Hot off the press! This one is all about 3D printing. • Print in 3D: the app now slices your model right on the iPad — walls, solid skins, infill — and sends it over the network to your printer: Bambu Lab (LAN mode), OctoPrint, Klipper and PrusaLink. One tap, like a paper printer. No computer in between. • Find on the network: the printer window discovers your machines by itself, and on a Bambu even the serial number fills itself in. • See the layers: preview the nozzle path layer by layer before sending anything. • Supports and brim: overhangs get clean break-away columns, small bases get extra grip. • Ready to print?: tap the seal and every object is checked for what a printer demands — closed shell, no open edges. One tap repairs the model itself, even curved holes. • CC0 model library: a new tab with the Kenney 3D catalog — hundreds of low poly models, curated for 3D printing, free even for commercial work. Tap a pack, pick a model, drag it into your scene, or bookmark it to keep it offline. Search a shape, drop it in, print it. • Project tabs: open projects sit as thin pills at the top of the editor — switch models with one tap, no trip back to the gallery. • Export animation: GLB and FBX now carry your keyframes — Godot and Unreal open the GLB, Unity and Blender read the FBX, and it plays there just like here. • Plus: copy and paste layers between projects, an Export panel organized in three tabs, and STL now comes out Z-up like slicers expect. LowPoly 1.4 is here! • LATTICE: a cage around your shape, or around a whole group. Drag its control points and everything inside follows. Choose how many points each axis gets, smooth or straight deformation, lasso several points at once, then apply. • GLOW: any object can glow with its own color, no lights needed. Neon, lava, a lit window, a robot eye. Push the strength past 1 and the light spills out as a halo, in the viewport and in every export. • PLASTIC & METALLIC: two new looks in the Render panel. Plastic is the toy gloss; Metallic reflects the studio around your model, with a Polish slider from brushed aluminum all the way to chrome. • BACKUP: pick a folder in Files or iCloud Drive and your projects are kept outside the app too. Deleted the app, or got a new iPad? Just restore it all back. • EXAMPLE PROJECTS: the app now ships with four ready-made projects to explore, open and remix. • AND MORE: drag a .fbx or .obj onto the gallery (or straight into the open scene), multi-select layers with shift and ⌘ on a keyboard, batch rename, and the Mac window now resizes freely. MY LIBRARY Save any model and drop it into any project. Tap to arm, drag to place copy after copy, on the floor or standing on a wall, rotated the way you want. The library lives on your iPad, so a model saved in one project is one tap away in all the others. LIVE PREVIEW Your model rendered on its own, framed for the format you pick. Tap broadcast and open the address on a Mac or a phone, or scan the QR code: the image updates there while you model. AMBIENT OCCLUSION A render mode that bakes the shadow of every crevice into the model. The bake runs in the background and the map ships with the export, embedded in GLB or written next to the OBJ and FBX. ALSO Influence brings the neighborhood along when you move, rotate or scale. Export an image saves a single PNG in 4:5, 9:16, 1:1, 16:9, 21:9 or your own size, with transparent background if you want. Bevel got segments and a Round or Steps profile, and lights got color, with ten presets plus the full spectrum. FIXES - Bevel no longer stops halfway through the drag, and beveling a whole mesh in Steps no longer tears it open. - The AO map no longer draws a line splitting two nearly flat faces. - FBX now carries its textures, referenced inside the file in the diffuse and ambient channels, instead of loose PNGs nothing pointed at. - An exported model with AO no longer arrives with the ambient channel at black, which multiplied the occlusion map down to nothing. CHANGES - The Export panel is split into 3D model and Image and video. - The automatic 3/4 camera measures distance from the chosen frame, so a landscape shot no longer comes out tiny. - Bevel pulls like inset and the loop ring: a fixed travel on screen, so the three answer the same at any zoom and object size. - UV packing looks for the largest scale that fits the atlas, for more texture density in the same image size. - The light marker was redrawn the way 3D apps draw it, and follows the Gizmo size and opacity in the View panel. - Zero is zero on both Gizmo sliders: at the bottom of the scale the gizmo and the light markers disappear for good. - Help reorganized: Color moved to the Color, Texture and Export page.

Deform, reference images, alignment and real painting in your favorite app. DEFORM Ten parametric deformers: bend, twist, taper, stretch, shear, wave, spherify, inflate, noise and smooth. Each one works on the whole object or just the selection, and all of them can be animated on the timeline. Bend a tree in the wind or add a squash and stretch bounce without touching a single vertex. REFERENCE IMAGES A blueprint cube behind the model, one image per view (front, back, left, right, top and bottom) to model right on top of it. Size, height, opacity and per face offset, with options to show only on the aligned view and to always stay behind. Takes PNG, JPG, PSD, TGA and TIFF. ALIGN AND SELECT An alignment panel on the Blender model: axes, object side, target side and reference on the selection, the active object or the world, plus distribute and stack. And a selection panel with grow, shrink, linked, ring, boundary, by angle, triangles, n-gons, coplanar and same color. PAINT IT IN YOUR FAVORITE APP Send the object to Procreate, or any painting app, and the painted texture comes back on its own. LowPoly now shows up in their share sheet with its own icon, picks the right texture and hands the model back painted. AND MORE Join and separate objects, bridge by region, X-Ray mode, full mouse and keyboard with Blender style shortcuts, FBX and OBJ import, a color eyedropper with hex, primitive re-editing, light controls, groups in the gallery, inset as a group, a layers only timeline and a cartoon stroke with one weight for the whole scene and adjustable variation. LowPoly 1.1 is here, and it goes hard. New modeling power: Extrude Manifold: push a face inward and carve a clean, watertight recess with no messy internal walls. It even opens into a channel where it meets a flat neighbor. Bisect: slice your model along a plane just by drawing a line. Chip away in seconds, perfect for rocks and hard-surface shapes. Axis-locked and multi-face extrude: lock to Normal, X, Y or Z, and tap faces to extrude a whole region at once. Parametric edge loops: drag across a face and drop evenly spaced cuts instantly. Dissolve: deleting an edge or vertex now stitches the mesh instead of punching a hole, keeping your topology clean. Vertex slide: grab a vertex and slide it right along its edges. Sharper editing: Apple Pencil hover preview: see exactly what you are about to select before you touch. Snappier vertex selection and double-tap loop select. Three-finger clipboard menu: cut, copy and paste objects, even across projects.
