Turning a stack of lab observations, decap photos, and curve-trace data into a clean 8D report your customer or management team can act on takes hours of writing. EGK Failure Analysis Assistant handles that synthesis — while keeping every finding grounded in the evidence you actually provided. The AI is instructed to never fabricate a root cause it can't support, and to say so explicitly when the evidence is inconclusive rather than guess. It's the natural companion to EGK TestScript AI Studio, EGK Test Report AI, EGK Wafer Yield Analyst, and EGK Reliability Qual Assistant, closing the loop from design verification through test, yield, reliability, and now root-cause investigation.
KEY FEATURES
- Build FA Cases — Structured fields for product, package, lot ID, and device ID, plus an FA-technique tag picker covering Decapsulation, SEM, EDX/EDS, X-ray, C-SAM, FIB, Curve Trace, and Thermal Imaging.
- Import Evidence — Attach FA lab report PDFs and text documents, plus decap/SEM/X-ray photos with your own captions describing what each image shows.
- Optional Vision Analysis — With a vision-capable local model (e.g. llava) selected, image evidence is analyzed directly by the AI. With a text-only model, only your captions are used — the app always tells you which mode is active, never pretends to have seen something it didn't.
- AI 8D Report — One click generates a full 8D corrective-action report: Problem Statement, Problem Description, Containment Actions, Root Cause Analysis (with findings ranked Primary / Contributing / Ruled Out and cited evidence), Corrective Actions, Implementation & Validation, Preventive Actions, and Closure.
- Report History — Every generated report is saved locally and browsable, with one-click Markdown export for sharing with your team or customer.
- AI Setup — Built-in guided setup for Ollama, with model selection, connection status, and vision-model guidance.

For engineers managing multiple concurrent investigations, EGK Failure Analysis Assistant Pro removes the daily generation cap and supports larger on-device reasoning models for complex, multi-evidence cases (on supported Apple Silicon hardware).
Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription with two plan options:
- EGK Failure Analysis Assistant Pro — Monthly: billed every month.
- EGK Failure Analysis Assistant Pro — Annual: billed every year, at a discounted effective monthly rate.
Exact pricing for your region is shown in the app on the subscription screen before you purchase. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in System Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions on your Mac. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
PRIVACY
