A-B slope range: enter the laser slope distance, get horizontal distance and rise. HD mode is the old map distance.
▶ Turn your phone into an outdoor survey multi-tool. Aim the camera and a live overlay shows azimuth, pitch angle, level and GPS position right on the scene, so you read the field without juggling separate instruments.
▶ Measure the horizontal and vertical angle between two points by sighting each one. Estimate distance and height with trigonometry from your eye height and the target angles.
▶ Read your position in the format you work in: latitude and longitude in decimal or DMS, plus UTM and MGRS grids used worldwide. Switch true north and magnetic north as needed.
▶ Capture a photo with the heading, angle and coordinates stamped on it, a clean record for the site. Save station notes and reuse them later.
▶ Everything runs on device with no region data, so it behaves the same anywhere. Calibrate the compass for a steadier reading before you start.
Results are field estimates based on your phone's sensors and are not a substitute for professional survey equipment. Confirm critical measurements with proper instruments.

Verify: HUD tab, mark A on the base and B on the top. Enter 50 in the distance field, tap SD. With A pitch about -10 deg and B about +20 deg, Horizontal distance reads ~49.2 m and Estimated height ~26.6 m. Switch to HD: height becomes ~27.0 m (the old behavior). Reset clears the number but keeps HD/SD.
