• Project & environment organisation — Group secrets by project and by environment (local, dev, staging, production). Mark environments as production-sensitive for extra confirmation gates.
• .env import & export — Import existing .env, .env.local, .env.dev, and .env.production files in seconds. Export back to a .env file with a single click, complete with a Git safety warning for production environments.
• Clipboard safety — Copy a secret and EnvVault automatically clears it from the clipboard after 30 seconds, unless you've already copied something else.
• Git safety check — EnvVault reads your project's .gitignore and warns you if .env patterns are missing, so secrets never end up in a commit by accident.
• Menu bar quick access — Search projects and copy keys instantly from the menu bar, without opening the full app.
• Optional encrypted iCloud sync — Keep secrets in sync across your Macs. EnvVault encrypts the complete vault on your device before it touches iCloud — Apple can't read it, and neither can we.
