This app is a total game-changer for wheel trading, can’t recommend it enough. This is saving me from doing all sorts of calculations I’ve been doing in a spreadsheet, and adds a bunch of other useful views and numbers I honestly hadn’t even thought about before. I love the focus on yield when shopping for put contracts to sell, much easier to work with than dollar premiums or greeks, and even factors in the interest on the collateral. I also love how it tracks dividend and covered call income against assigned shares, and marks up the call chain against this, so you can be really consistent about getting back to “profitable”.On the negative side, looks like they have just two brokers linked up at the moment (Schwab and TastyTrade), though they promise “other brokers coming soon”. Also, the choice of AI models is pretty limited. Also, some of the on-screen help is cryptic and poorly written, hopefully that will get cleaned up.Overall though, really impressive for a first release of something like this.

This app is incredibly useful for analyzing, implementing, and monitoring a short put option strategy. It’s designed so that it can be used by anyone from a brand new options trader to someone who is more seasoned but looking for a more efficient way to trade, with all relevant information in one place rather than split across broker sites and excel sheets.The interface and information included are intuitive and very thoughtful; the app translates dollar premiums into annualized yield so option premiums can be appropriately compared across strikes and tenors. It also provides various risk metrics to be compared against yield so the investor can tailor the strategy to their own risk tolerance.The app allows you to sync with multiple brokerage platforms and execute trades within the YieldGen app (so don’t have to switch back and forth between multiple platforms).This is a great app for anyone using short options to generate yield in their portfolios and is superior to any others I’ve seen.
