his update is about what to play next: what's coming out, what a game looks like, and how long it'll take. New: - Release calendar. The home tab shows what's coming out each day, the most anticipated first. Tap a day for the full calendar, and filter it by platform. - Screenshots and trailers. Game pages have a Media section. Tap it to swipe through screenshots and artwork full screen, and play trailers right there. - Time to beat. Game pages show how long a game takes to beat, as reported by players. Sort your backlog by length to see the hours under each cover. - Mobile games. Android and iOS games are on Checkpnt now, about 13,000 of them. - Four across. Cover grids show four games across, and a game with no cover shows its name. Fixed: - Settings opens with everything in place, instead of rows popping in. - Blocking someone from a screen you've had open a while blocks them, rather than unblocking.

This update is about finding the right game, and finding your way around a long list. New: - Browse by genre and more. The search tab browses games by genre, theme, year, platform and mode. Pick several at once, or rule some out. - Discover. Tap Popular this month or Popular with friends on the home tab for the full list, filtered the same way. - Sort and filter everywhere. The sliders button opens the same sheet on every list. Sort by average rating or by your own, and filter a profile's games, diary and backlog by genre, platform, year and more. - Games and Diary. A log doesn't need a date any more. Games is everything you've played, and the Diary is the logs with a date. - Reviews by rating. Filter a game's reviews to one rating or to people you follow. Tap a bar in a rating chart to see what's at that rating. - And a few more. Search someone's followers by name, hide the games you've logged on someone else's list, filter activity by type, and pick a leaderboard's period. - No connection. When your phone goes offline the app says so, and picks up where it left off when you're back. Fixed: - Zooming into a full-size cover stays sharp - The diary no longer jumps around near the bottom when your phone's text size is bigger than the default - A diary entry with no rating shows no stars

Checkpnt is better with people in it, so this update is mostly about finding them. New: - People to follow. The home tab suggests people you might want to follow, and the suggestions change every day. Tap the header for more of them, plus monthly leaderboards. - Invite friends. Share an invite link from Settings. Anyone who signs up with it starts with you ready to follow. - Reviews from everyone. The reviews tab has a section with the latest reviews from everyone on Checkpnt, not just the people you follow. - Rapid-fire, any time. The swipe deck from sign-up is on the search tab now, for logging or backlogging a pile of games quickly. Swipe down to mark a game as playing. - What the reviewer liked. A review shows other people's reviews of the same game that its author liked. - Full-screen covers. Tap a game's cover to see it full size. Fixed: - Tapping a comment notification opens the thread at that comment and highlights it - Activity uses the pronouns people have set, and puts the @ back in front of usernames - Other people's profiles hide stat rows with nothing in them - Copy in the share sheet keeps the link

Lists are here. Put games into a list for anything you like. Rank a list and drag the games into the order you want, or keep it private so only you can see it. Other people can like and comment on your lists, and clone one to their own account to make it theirs. Every list shows how much of it you've logged. Also new: - Share a list to Instagram Stories - Onboarding now asks what you're playing right now, not just what you've played Fixed: - Backlog counts on a game page update as you add and remove, instead of waiting for a refresh

Checkpnt now collects anonymous usage stats, so I can see which parts of the app actually get used and where people get stuck. That's what decides what I build and fix next. No ads. Your data isn't sold or shared, and your review text and what you search for are never sent. You can turn it off any time in Settings, under Privacy.

The diary scrolls properly and no longer flickers. Links opened from outside the app keep their back arrow. The game activity list scrolls smoothly. A failed Steam import now tells you what actually went wrong.

Better messages when something doesn't load. - A game page no longer says the game doesn't exist when the request simply failed - Popular this month and your friends' reviews no longer disappear without saying why - The reviews section no longer tells you to follow people when you already follow people

Currently playing You can now mark what you're playing right now, and it shows on your profile. - Mark as many games as you like, with no limit and no platform to pick - Starting a game takes it off your backlog, so the two lists never disagree - Logging a game offers to take it off the list, ticked by default - Your followers see "started playing" in their feed when you pick something up Also in this update: - Profile tabs no longer show an empty page while they load - A profile that fails to load says so, instead of claiming the user doesn't exist - Blocking someone takes effect straight away, without reopening the app - Comments from someone you've blocked are hidden from everyone, not just from you - The game count when you're getting started matches what you actually picked

New - Share your profile to Instagram Stories from the share button on your profile. - The Discord bot is easier to find. Set it up from Settings to get your game logs posted to your Discord server. Improved - Onboarding asks for a rating when you pick your favourite games, so they show up as proper logs. - Comment notifications say "also commented" when you're already in the thread, and names are easier to pick out in your activity feed. Fixed - Backlog picks during onboarding are no longer lost if you add more than 50 games. - Favourite games are logged whether or not you rate them. - The Profile tab no longer gets stuck loading, and you can retry if it fails. - Fixed the header jumping the first time you open a tab, and a spinner that could stick on your profile. - Fixed the layout of the game page header. - Blocking is applied more reliably on profiles. - If your account is suspended, the app now explains why instead of signing you out with no reason.

Small improvements and fixes under the hood.
