PinShot is a fast, private screenshot tool that lives in your menu bar. Capture a region, a window, or the whole screen with a global hotkey, then act on it instantly: copy it to the clipboard, save it to your folder, or pin it as a floating window that stays on top of everything you do.
Pinning is what makes PinShot different. Keep a reference screenshot — an error message, a design mockup, a code snippet — floating above your work while you fix, compare, or transcribe. Drag it anywhere, resize it, double-click to copy it, and close it when you're done. Turn on auto-pin and every capture pins itself.
Mark up your captures before sharing. The built-in editor adds arrows, boxes, highlights, and text in three sizes and six colors — and a pixelate tool that redacts anything you don't want seen. Everything is undoable, and what you export is exactly what you saw.
PinShot is built the way Mac utilities should be: fully sandboxed, completely offline, no account, no telemetry, and no subscription. Your screenshots are yours — they never touch a server.
