OptionsKing

Covered call & put screener

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Every strike carries a deterministic score from 0 to 100, printed on the card. There is no minimum, so on a thin week the best of a bad lot ranks first and says so. OptionsKing scores covered calls and cash-secured puts across your watchlist, and shows you how good each one actually is. Most tools in this category hand you a ranked list and leave you to guess how good the top of it is. This one ranks too. The difference is the number on the card. Every candidate strike gets a deterministic score from 0 to 100, and that score is blended with the return on the capital the trade ties up to decide the order. There is no minimum. A thin week gets ranked from best to worst like any other, so the best-ranked pick can be a 40, and reading that number is your job. The app tells you what it thinks of a trade. It does not pretend a weak one is strong by putting it first. WHAT IT DOES Scans your watchlist for premium-selling trades. Covered calls, cash-secured puts, and defined-risk structures: verticals, iron condors, iron butterflies, broken-wing spreads. Shows the math before you commit. The score, the premium, the odds of keeping it, the odds of assignment, how likely the order is to fill at the suggested limit, and what happens to your shares or your cash if it goes the other way. Refuses a trade with a confirmed earnings date inside the expiry window, whatever it scores. That one is a hard stop, not a ranking. Keeps a ledger of what you actually collected. Log a trade and the app tracks it to expiry, the ones that went badly included. Your income screen is built from your own filled trades, never from what the app suggested. Paper mode. A virtual balance and the same scan, so you can run the whole loop for a few months before a dollar is at stake. Collateral checks. It will not record a covered call on shares you do not hold, or a cash-secured put your stated cash cannot back. App lock. Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, when you would rather your positions stayed private. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO It does not connect to your broker. There is no account to link, no credentials to hand over, and no order it can place. Every trade is one you go and place yourself. It does not hide a bad week from you. There is no quality floor and no filter on the tail of the list, so a quiet market produces a ranked list of mediocre trades rather than an empty screen. The score is there so you can see that and skip it. There is no filter builder, no backtester, and nothing to say about directional bets. It does one strategy family and stops at the decision. It does not promise you a number. No projected yields, no model track record, no "traders using this made X". The only performance figures anywhere in the app are the ones your own trades produced. Not financial advice. OptionsKing is an informational tool, not a financial adviser or a broker. It never places, modifies, or cancels a trade, and it never reads a brokerage account. Options trading carries substantial risk of loss, including assignment and losses larger than the premium you received, and is not suitable for every investor. Market data is delayed by roughly 15 minutes, so confirm the live price with your broker before you place anything. Past outcomes do not predict future results, and every figure shown reflects only your own recorded trades.

NEW Drag a strike band over your picks. Two thumbs on a rail above Top Options, and the list narrows to the strikes between them. No rescan, no new quotes, nothing saved to your settings. It's a view over the rows already in front of you, so it keeps up with your thumb. The rail is spaced by the strikes that actually exist, not by dollars. A thin chain gets a coarse rail. A dense one gets a fine one. CHANGED The score floor is gone. Nothing gets held back for scoring badly any more. Every candidate is scored, ranked, and handed to you in order, best first. So you will see setups the old build hid from you. On a thin day the top pick can be a weak trade. Read the score on the card before you act on it, because that number is doing the work the floor used to do. ALSO Bug fixes and performance improvements.
