Reliability and polish. • Closed-app alerts arrive on time, and opening the app no longer repeats alerts you already received. • Canada: alerts for your saved Canadian places now arrive even when the app is closed. • Places set from your location show the real city name, with a location arrow, in the app, widgets and Apple Watch. • Cleaner widgets: no more orange warnings, just a quiet "Updated" time. • Map: stations inside warning areas open properly, with readable names; the Storm Desk side panel scrolls. • Easier reading: formatted official alert text, merged duplicate statements, and plainer wording throughout.

Canada, a cleaner phone layout, and announcement choices. • Canada: save Canadian cities for official Environment Canada forecasts, current conditions and warnings while the app is open. • More room on phones: the all-clear shows once, Storm Desk shares the top row, and the safety bar stays pinned only when something is in effect. • Announcements: choose which occasional notes from FrankWeather you get. All are on unless you turn them off. • Tapping an alert checks again right away and shows the newest version of an updated warning. • Plain-English status messages throughout; calm wind now says "Calm". • Back up or move your places and settings, and see how accurate recent forecasts have been. • Apple Watch: VoiceOver reads hourly times with the full time zone name.

A reliability update. - Safe mode no longer gets stuck after an update: it clears as soon as the map loads, and the banner has a "Restore my layers" button. - iPhone widgets stay current longer and no longer turn orange while your weather is still recent. - Phone radar loop: the timeline is a slim scrubber with start, middle and end times instead of a row of dotted boxes. - Closed-app alerts: the alert service now restarts itself, so alerts keep arriving while the app is asleep.

A polish release: every screen reviewed in light and dark, on phone, tablet and desktop. - Places read cleanly: "Dallas, TX" instead of the full county and country, and saved-place names are never squeezed or covered by their badges. - Settings save as you change them, with Undo for everything changed since you opened Settings. - More accurate wording: a Flood Watch no longer marks storm hours as "Severe storms possible"; alert ages and end times are exact; forecasts read in sentence case. - Storm Desk tools fit smaller screens, and the map no longer repeats buttons from the top bar. - Colors that mean what they say: active alerts use the caution color, and the storm outlook and map credits are readable in both themes.

Polish release for 0.42: - The "Map background unavailable" notice no longer appears after a single interrupted map download. It now shows only after repeated failures and clears as soon as the map loads again. - Includes the Models view fix for the forecast-hour scrubber sometimes starting empty. New in 0.42: Hi-Res radar (FrankWeather's own 1 km radar every 2 minutes with rain, snow and icy mix in different colors), super-resolution site radar with velocity and correlation, the Models view (HRRR, NAM, GFS and ECMWF forecasts), hail swaths, rotation tracks, high-resolution satellite and NWS forecast-office boundaries.

Map fix: the map could show "API KEY REQUIRED" behind the radar. FrankWeather's own map — cities, roads, water and terrain — now loads on iPhone and iPad, and the map never falls back to an outside tile service. Also in 0.41: severe-weather warnings for Home and your saved places reach your iPhone and Apple Watch even when FrankWeather is closed (Settings → Home & alerts), warnings can break through Focus, home-screen and Lock Screen widgets, and frankweather.com links open straight in the app. FrankWeather is not an official warning system.
