START WITH A TRUSTWORTHY SOURCE • Try a complete fictional coral-reef lesson before adding private material • Paste text or import a local PDF or image • Review page previews, rotation, recognized text, and confidence • Select the exact evidence that should support a card • Keep unsupported proposals out of the deck REVIEW EVERY CARD • Edit prompts and answers before or after acceptance • Keep an immutable revision history • Add searchable tags and difficulty context • See duplicate warnings before saving repeated material • Jump from a card to its exact source page and excerpt STUDY FIVE USEFUL WAYS • Type or self-grade a recall response • Fill a local cloze prompt • Choose among deck-based answer options • Move steps into source order • Explain aloud without microphone access or recording Answers remain hidden until you explicitly reveal them. Private response comparison is reflective, not an automatic grade. Again, Hard, Good, and Easy ratings update a bounded schedule you can inspect, pause, reschedule, reset, or undo. RESULTS WITHOUT SHAME • See difficulty calibration instead of grades • Record a private reason when a card needs another pass • Find weak cards and evidence worth revisiting • Get a practical recommendation for the next short round • Take rest days without losing a streak LOCAL EXPORT AND RECOVERY Create a PDF study sheet, CSV card file, or complete JSON archive locally. Nothing leaves StudyKiln until you open the system share sheet. Archive import validates the entire file first and merges an independently identified copy instead of overwriting your library. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your source text, cards, answers, tags, schedules, page previews, OCR output, and exports stay in StudyKiln's local app container. No account, school login, public deck, web search, remote model, location, contacts, or microphone is required. Reminder permission is requested only after you explicitly enable a generic review reminder. STUDYKILN PRO Free includes three decks, two active private sources, 100 cards, manual creation, the transparent core scheduler, recall and cloze, and three successful generated batches per calendar month. StudyKiln Pro adds unlimited decks, sources, cards, and grounded batches; local OCR; ordering, multiple choice, and explain-aloud modes; exam plans; advanced exports; and aggregate trends. Monthly, yearly, and lifetime options use Apple's localized purchase sheet when available. Existing cards and study history remain readable if Pro ends.
