Your story, your circle, your name on the door. Choose who can see your timeline and photos: the whole family, people on your tree, or close family only - with exceptions for specific people, always or never, whatever the ring says. The app now carries your own family name in its headers - each member sees theirs - and you can retitle the archive anything you like, visible only to you. Invitations improved too: links no longer expire on a clock. Tap one, install the app later, tap again - it works until the moment you join. Invites arrive from the person who sent them, and a fresh code is minted automatically when one is used up.

Call your family what you actually call them. A new Names option captions the tree the way you speak: Mom, Grandpa Martin, Uncle Alon. Titles come from how each person is related to you, every member of the family sees their own version, and any name can be customized on a person's profile - pick from the usual ways (Nana, Bubbe, Zayde, Auntie...) or write your own. Also new: - Everyone: the entire family on one chart, every connection, both sides of every marriage - Your husband or wife's parents and siblings now appear on your own tree - Relatives show their photos in a person's card, planning a get-together asks the right questions, and visiting another relative's tree is clearly marked with a one-tap way home

A fix for how the family tree draws parents. When both of someone's parents are recorded but their marriage is not, the parents now stand together on the tree with their child's branch rising between them - before this fix the branch could appear to descend from the wrong couple.

Invitations now work for someone who doesn't have the app yet. Share one and it goes out as a link: tapped on a phone that has Rooted it opens straight at the invitation, and on a phone that doesn't it offers the app, with the code shown so it can be typed in after installing. New invite codes let in one person and expire after thirty days — a link gets forwarded, and a code shouldn't stay a key forever. Choose "Anyone with the code" to invite a whole branch with one code instead. Codes you've already shared are unchanged. Adding a spouse or partner now brings their children with them. You see the list as you add them, ready to untick anyone they aren't a parent to, and the tree draws the shared children descending from the two of them together rather than hanging off one. A child added to someone already paired is offered that partner as a second parent, and couples already on the tree can be brought up to date from the marriage screen. Every parent on a child's page now has a Remove beside it, so a connection made by mistake is easy to undo. Place suggestions say what they're doing as you type — looking, the places found, or that nothing matched — instead of quietly showing nothing.

Siblings now appear on the tree the moment you add them. The map has been redrawn: everyone's last few days show as their own colour-coded trail, ending at their face — no more markers piled on top of each other. Moments and memories now take videos as well as photographs. They appear in the timeline as a still with a play badge, and open full screen when you tap them. Any place field — a get-together, a photograph, a birthplace — now suggests real cities, regions, and addresses as you type. The archive keeps itself up to date. When a relative joins or someone adds to the tree, it appears without closing and reopening the app. Once you've claimed your own card on the tree, it's yours alone to edit.
