It does not measure or calculate VO₂ max. New readings depend on Apple Health and supported workouts; widget refresh timing is managed by iOS. The trend compares your latest estimate with up to three previous readings. Your VO₂ max values, sample dates, and sources are never sent to advertising or analytics providers.
