Read about 2,000 illustrated facts, stories, quotes and proverbs. Get a card in your notifications, add a widget, and explore in English or Turkish.
Discover something surprising every day. Ikigai Daily brings you fun facts and true stories from history, science, nature and art, set on beautiful paintings made for the app.
Did you know that the Statue of Liberty was copper brown before it turned green? Or that someone who saw the first aeroplane could have watched the Moon landing? Ikigai Daily is full of true things like these, and almost every card comes with the story behind it.
Many cards are about people: a teenager in Malawi who built a windmill from scrap and lit his family's home, or an artist who painted lions by firelight in a cave around 36,000 years ago.

WHY IKIGAI
Ikigai is the Japanese word for what makes your days worth living. In Japan it is usually something small and ordinary, like a garden, a grandchild or the walk to the shop. A true story you read in the morning can be one of those things. Read at your own pace. There are no streaks, quizzes or goals to keep up with.
NO ACCOUNT AND NO SUBSCRIPTION
Ikigai Daily is free to download and supported by ads.
• A banner sits at the bottom of the screen. Full-screen ads appear between screens, at least six cards and two minutes apart, up to five times a day.
• Once a month, readers with ads also see one card for Documni (software in development), our document app, at the end of Today. It is marked AD, and Show less stops it.
• One Remove Ads purchase turns off the banner, full-screen ads and the monthly Documni card.
• Your reading history stays on your iPhone.
Download Ikigai Daily and find something surprising today.
