Opening Amana no longer flashes white. It now begins in the deep indigo of the hour before dawn, and stays quiet until the sky rises. Internal refinements for a smoother start.

After you name a sky and leave without keeping it, Amana now leaves a quiet word about sky-moment notifications. Even without your location, the sun now sits where the clock says it should. Clouds and rain arrive with a gentle ease. The small sparkle marks in the Collection and Settings have been replaced with the sky itself, and the Home Screen preview has a glass edge. The widget sky now follows the same drawing as the app: the evening glow, and the soft light of the sun.

In the first few steps, Amana now asks to make the sky yours. Allow it, and the sky you see becomes the one above where you are standing. And before you decide, you can now see what a sky actually looks like on your Home Screen.

After you name a sky, Amana can now offer to tell you about the next beautiful one - an evening that looks set to burn, or the sky opening after rain. It also quietly mentions that a sky can live on your Home Screen.

You can now re-frame a sky after it is in your Collection. Choose the porthole, the window, or full-bleed - whichever suits that sky.

Fixed a crash when saving a sky to Photos from the Collection. Your named skies now go straight to your photo library.

When Amana asks for your location for the first time, it now says why in a single line. If you decide to allow it later, you can now open Settings directly from the message.

On the Lock Screen widget, the English one-liner no longer gets cut off mid-sentence. We also added a small way to make sure the sky keeps refreshing quietly in the background.

You can now name the sky you photographed. The name Amana offers is yours to rewrite. In the widget, the light of morning and evening now turns at the right hour. We also updated our privacy policy to match what the app actually does.

Dawn now burns at the right hour. Even on cloudy mornings, the color at the horizon stays. In the map view, the Earth now floats whole — your latitude included.

Wherever you are, your sky — seen from space. Until now, only Japan's Himawari satellite was watching. Now the weather satellite closest to where you are shows you that sky. In the Americas, in Europe, in Africa. - Switches automatically to the satellite that covers your region - At night, clouds and city lights come through
