Tchitchat
Canada’s own messenger
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Tchitchat is Canada's homegrown messenger: texts, voice and video calls, groups and communities in one app, French first and fully bilingual.
• Messages: text, photos, videos, documents, voice notes, location, reactions.
• Free voice and video calls between Tchitchat users, over Wi-Fi or mobile data.
• Your contacts: see which friends are already on Tchitchat and invite the others in one tap.
• Feed and channels: follow local news, media and communities you care about.
• Groups and events: organize your family, your team, your town.
• Live Rooms and Talkie: live broadcasts and walkie-talkie mode to talk with many people at once.
• Voice drops: leave a voice message at a specific spot for others to discover there.
• Built-in translation in more than 70 languages.
• Choice of ringtones, Face ID, dark mode.
Safety and respect: block or report any account or content, and delete your account at any time from Settings. Your contacts are never stored in plain text.
Important: Tchitchat is not a telephone service and cannot reach 9-1-1. In an emergency, use your device's Phone app.
