A photo you share now shows who shared it, instead of just "Rider", and stays on the sport tab it was posted to — moto shots no longer turn up on the sled map. Photos you mark friends-only are now limited to your friends. The Local board's location box searches. Type a town, pick it, and your post goes to that area — the box tells you where it's going. New units switch on your profile: miles and °F, km and °C, or Auto. Distances, speeds, temperatures and snow depth all follow it. Québec and Alberta sled and quad trails are on the map, and the land card reads provincial land records instead of guessing.

Your line shows up when you trim a ride or mark a segment, with a Zoom to ride button. Name a segment when you cut it, or rename it later — and cutting a segment no longer puts your whole ride on the challenges board. A segment now sits under the ride it came from, dated the day you rode it, instead of looking like a brand new ride. Public land your county assessor records as BLM or State now shades on the map even where the federal map leaves it blank, and tapping it names the record. Send a challenge to a friend as a link, or jump straight to it on the map. Get driving directions to any pin in your own map app. Recording keeps working with no service, and a ride survives your phone dying. Follow mode comes back on its own after you look around, and your GPS no longer records every fix twice. Tapping through your rides now highlights what you picked.

Import rides from your Apple Watch. Record with the watch's Workout app — phone left in the truck — then import and your laps land on the boards, with the same timing and verification as a ride recorded in the app. Also new: • Lap courses — mark a loop with one tap on the start/finish gate, and every circuit is timed as its own lap • Tap a rider's lap count on any leaderboard to see each individual lap time • Import rides from a Garmin, COROS, or Suunto file (.fit or .gpx) • Notification opt-in that asks at a moment that makes sense, plus race reminders and "friends are going" alerts • Ride History now lists your newest ride first

The map follows you. Start riding and the camera stays with you — tap the map, check the weather, look up whose land you're on; it keeps tracking until you drag it away. Tap Locate to bring it back. Trails in your color. Pick one color for everything your machine can ride, per sport — moto-only singletrack can have its own. Mapped-but-unverified two-track draws dashed in that same color, so "check access first" no longer looks like a different trail. And trails stop flickering while you zoom. Confirm a pin. Tap a pin another rider dropped and there's a Confirm button — the "riders confirmed" count finally moves, so you can tell a hazard someone actually checked from one nobody has. Better messages. Long messages wrap instead of running off the side of the screen, and you can send photos. Your phone actually buzzes. Messages, friend requests, and someone taking your turf now reach your lock screen instead of waiting quietly in the app. Mark a closed route. A new Fire pin warns every rider, whatever they ride, so people can take a different way around. Find a race track faster. The motocross leaderboard list now shows every track, with search.

Your ride keeps recording when you leave the map. Tapping another tab mid-ride used to end the recording and lose it, with nothing saved. Now you can check a message and come back — the ride is still running, with your distance and time intact. Also in this update: • Weather, rebuilt. A 7-day forecast, hour-by-hour detail, and a plain-English read on what the day actually looks like for riding. • A quicker start. Setup is a few taps, and the app asks for your location at a point where it can explain why it needs it. • Truer ride stats. Top speed now comes from your GPS receiver rather than being inferred from position, so a parked machine stops posting speeds it never hit. Elevation gain is steadier too. • Safety check-ins you can rely on. Clearer arming, an honest warning when a contact can't be reached yet, and no more false "you're back" messages before you actually are. • Trim a ride you forgot to stop, and keep any ride private. • Leaderboards for named trails at bike parks. • RidgeLink Pro is now free for your first 14 days.

Hiking areas are here. Parks, wilderness areas, nature reserves and trailheads now show on the map, so the off-season has somewhere to go too. Also in this update: • Landowner names now cover 13 states, up from 4 — know whose land you're on before you cross it. • Hillshade terrain and a slope readout when you tap the map. • Faster land-ownership lookups, and trail data keeps loading when a source is having a bad day. • Offline location buffer: your track keeps recording out of service and syncs when you're back. • Measure distance, whole-trail mileage, and a compass heading on your marker. • Fixes to the map layers, ride calendar, and check-in flow.

This update is built for the places without cell service. • Group location sharing now catches up after dead zones — points saved with no signal upload the moment you're back in coverage, and friends can see your recent trail, not just your last dot • Honest "last seen" times on group locations, so an old point never looks live • Tap private land to see the parcel owner's name (Pro), sourced from county assessors, with a removal channel for landowners • Map search now takes street addresses — jump straight to any spot • Peaks, passes, lakes, and rivers are now labeled on the map • Measure distances right from the tap-a-spot card • Motorized trail layers restored on SxS/ATV maps, plus map and stability fixes

Turf is here. Every ride you record now claims the ground you cover — your color on the map, per sport. Ride someone else's hexes to take them, and watch the new Turf leaderboard for biggest area and top stealers. Safety check-in got tougher. Your check-in now keeps your location current even with your phone locked and in your pocket, and you can add an hour or check in right from the lock screen. Setting your return time is cleaner too. RidgeLink Pro now includes open practice days: see them on the calendar and get an alert when a track near you posts one — RidgeLink watches so you don't have to. Also new: suggested friends (people you may know — mutual friends and riders nearby), a direction cone on your map marker, and bug fixes — including one where a previous login's check-in reminder could show after switching accounts.

• King of the Track — track leaderboards now rank by laps ridden instead of lap times. The rider with the most laps at a track takes the crown. Your own best lap and whether you're improving are still there for you to see. • Open practice days on the Calendar, not just races. Filter by Races or Open Practice to find somewhere to ride this weekend. • The map now opens where you are the first time you launch it, instead of a default location. • Fixes: dropping a pin works reliably again (the submit button could sit behind the panel underneath it), submitting a recorded ride as a community trail actually posts it now, ride miles show correctly on the leaderboards, and the set-a-password email link works for riders who sign in with Google.
