Vellichor: Private Reader
Productivity
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New: paste any text and listen instantly. Plus, all listening is now free and unlimited, every book, every hour. Narrated entirely on your device.
Turn the books and documents you already have into a private reading and listening experience.
Vellichor combines a calm book reader with natural narration prepared on your device. Follow along word by word as the text is spoken, tap a passage to begin there, or put your phone away and keep listening.
YOUR BOOKS, IN ONE QUIET LIBRARY
- Import EPUB, PDF, and plain-text files from Files, or paste any text straight in
- Keep chapters, reading position, voice, and speed together
- Resume the book you were reading without searching through controls
READ AND LISTEN TOGETHER
- Follow the highlighted sentence and the spoken word as narration moves through the page
- Tap a paragraph to start listening from that point
- Move between chapters without losing your place
LISTEN YOUR WAY
- Choose a narrator and adjust playback speed
- Skip backward or forward with familiar audio controls
- Use a sleep timer for a set duration or the end of a chapter
- Continue listening with the screen locked
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Book text is processed on your device, not uploaded for narration
- No Vellichor account is required
- No ads or cross-app tracking
- Prepared narration stays with the app on your device
Listening is free and unlimited, for every book and every pasted note. Start with a curated set of narrators, and unlock every premium voice with a weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
The weekly subscription renews automatically at the stated price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings.
