On a slow connection, the dashboard and Storage show placeholders while data loads. The status line reads Loading…, and after 3 seconds it shows how long the app has waited for the server. Before this update it read Unknown until the first answer arrived. Refresh keeps the current values on screen and marks them as updating. Auto-refresh waits for the running request instead of starting a new one every 5 seconds. Allow local network access in Settings, come back, and the app repeats what failed: Test Connection in the connection form, the monitoring screen, or your last AI question. If you switched AI providers in the meantime, the app does not resend the question.

You can explore the demo and add your own server on the free plan. Before this update the demo counted as your one free connection, and + opened the upgrade screen. The new connection form keeps what you type. It stays open while you visit Settings to allow local network access, and while you resize the window on iPad. On first launch the app starts usage analytics only after you tap Continue on the privacy screen. If you switch analytics off there, the app sends no usage events.

Maintenance release. When a login is rejected, the app now records the exact reason: unknown user, wrong or missing key, or a proxy answering instead of ClickHouse. Crash reports from this version come with full stack traces instead of raw addresses. The screens look the same as in 1.2.3.

The app no longer mistakes an HTTP reply for a ClickHouse error. When a proxy or a load balancer answers instead of your server, the screen says the HTTP layer replied and points you to the address, port and path. Before, it printed Code: 400 as if the engine itself rejected the query. When QPS or metric history is unavailable, the app names the real reason: the log is off on the server, your user lacks rights, the window is empty, or the connection failed. The dashboard tile and the Server Metrics screen agree, and neither sends you to fix metric_log when the network is the problem. The dashboard speaks your language. Cluster status, tile captions and the last-updated time are translated, and every caption fits on one line. The paywall updates its price even while the sheet is open, and your Pro rights no longer wait for the store to load that price.

Fixed the bug that blocked DDL confirmation. The sheet asked you to type a target it never showed, so nothing matched and Confirm stayed dead. A user hit this on CREATE OR REPLACE MATERIALIZED VIEW. CREATE OR REPLACE MATERIALIZED VIEW warns you before you confirm: the server rejects that form, and the sheet names ALTER TABLE … MODIFY QUERY as the path that works. The sheet names the object it will change. A disabled Confirm looks disabled, and a wrong entry says so. Twelve statements that read as Unknown SQL type now report what they are, among them DETACH, RENAME, EXCHANGE and BACKUP. You see what a write did. An INSERT shows how many rows the server wrote. An ALTER ... DELETE says the mutation went to the queue and that stopping it leaves applied changes in place. A CREATE that worked no longer answers No Results. The sheet speaks your language. The warning that an action cannot be undone sits next to the button you press.

The screens where you verify an SSH host key or a TLS certificate open at full height. On the first connection to a bastion or a self-signed server, the fingerprint check had only half the screen. It now gets the whole display: SHA-256 fingerprint, randomart and the trust buttons fit without crowding.

Connect through a bastion host: SSH tunnels are in. • Turn on the SSH toggle and enter the bastion host, port and user. Authenticate with a private key or a password; ProbeDeck recognizes a pasted key and validates it before connecting. • Test Connection runs through the tunnel and reports the tunnel status. Bastion unreachable, wrong credentials, TLS failure: each gets its own message with a hint on what to fix. • The first time you reach a bastion, ProbeDeck shows its host-key fingerprint (SHA-256) and randomart. Trust it once with "Trust & Remember", per connection; trust survives app restarts, and a changed key stops the connection with a clear warning. • A connection with SSH on never talks to the cluster directly: if the tunnel cannot be built, ProbeDeck refuses to connect. Bastion secrets stay in the on-device Keychain.

Connecting is faster, and the demo cluster is now a real place to explore the app. • Paste a ClickHouse URL or DSN into the connection form and ProbeDeck fills in user, password, host, port and database for you, with a live preview. • Pasted a native TCP port (9000/9440)? You now get a clear hint to use the HTTP port (8123/8443) instead. • The demo connection is a coherent cluster with matching schema and data previews, and the built-in AI assistant works offline inside it — try natural-language queries without your own key. • Table-engine badges such as ReplicatedMergeTree no longer break mid-word.

Connecting to a server on your local network is now honest about what it needs. • When your ClickHouse server, SSH bastion or Ollama is on your local network (a homelab, your laptop), ProbeDeck asks for the iOS Local Network permission and says clearly that your server is fine — only the permission is missing. Open Settings from the prompt, and the action you started resumes on return. Public servers never trigger this prompt. • The Ollama endpoint no longer ships with an invented default address. An empty endpoint does not dial and does not ask for permission; it shows an honest unconfigured state until you set your own. • Disk type is now shown as a badge on the Disks screen. • Object-storage (S3) disk sizes that the server does not report no longer appear as impossible numbers. • When a trend cannot be loaded, the real reason is shown instead of a misleading "log empty".

Storage now shows what owns your disk space. • The Disks & Parts screen is rebuilt. See which tables and databases fill each disk, drill into a table's partitions, and keep capacity pressure separate from parts health. • Object storage without a reported capacity is shown as such, instead of a misleading 0%. • Inspect partitions read-only. DROP PARTITION is only prepared in the SQL editor and never run from the screen. • AI answers render as proper Markdown, and every SQL block gets its own Run and Copy card with an honest read-only or destructive badge. • The AI error-fix helper now replies in your interface language and clears the stale error once you apply the corrected SQL.

AI answers with current cluster context. • Ask about slow queries, replicas, mutations, parts, merges, disks and cluster health. ProbeDeck gathers current data and gives it to the assistant. • Your BYOK key stays saved, can be verified and keeps working after you leave Settings. • Generated SQL stays in the chat for review. ProbeDeck runs it only after you tap Run. • Error messages identify whether the key, model, provider quota or connection needs attention.

Your AI provider key stays saved. • Your OpenAI or Anthropic API key no longer disappears when you close Settings, switch providers, or leave the screen. It's saved on every exit, so the assistant is ready the next time. • Once the key is saved, the assistant actually uses it. Earlier it could silently fall back to a local Ollama connection. • You can now see the key is saved, verify it, and remove it. If a save fails, you see it instead of a silent failure. • The Claude model picker no longer lists a model that doesn't exist (claude-opus-4-8) and would error on send. • The AI section in Settings is split into separate groups instead of one cramped list — easier to scan.

Long queries work now. • A running query shows rows read and percent complete. No more silent spinner. • Anything slower than about 12 seconds used to fail with "Server unreachable" on a perfectly healthy server. Fixed. • You get 60 seconds instead of 30. Leave the screen and the server stops your query, so it no longer burns cluster CPU behind your back. • Read-only ClickHouse accounts work everywhere in the app. Before, they connected but could not run a single query. • When the server cuts a query short, you see the error. Earlier builds showed the partial rows and said nothing. • The app tells a lost connection apart from a query the server refused.

Your ClickHouse cluster now fits the big screen. ProbeDeck now includes full native iPad support. Monitor cluster health, triage running queries, inspect replicas and mutations, browse schemas, and work with SQL in spacious split-view layouts built for iPad. Also includes layout and stability improvements across iPhone and iPad.
