Marklet 1.2 Saving and safety Natural undo: Cmd+Z steps back the way you typed, a burst at a time, and never fights the save. Quiet saving: the "changed by another application" alert no longer appears on your own saves. Unsaved changes backup: a private copy of unsaved work is kept and offered back after a crash, with a side by side View Changes before you restore. Separate toggle in Settings. Version history for manual saves: browse earlier versions in Marklet, with preview, arrow keys, and a confirmation before restoring. A "Saved" confirmation under the title with Auto Save on, and the "Edited" label now renders reliably. Editing and styling Bold italic text reveals every marker with the caret inside, and code inside bold or italic keeps that emphasis. Choose text, background, selection, caret, and link colors. Continuation lines inherit their block's indent and spacing; foreign line endings survive list and table edits. Shortcut recording refuses reserved and duplicate shortcuts; custom Cmd number bindings take priority over tab switching. Plus a batch of fixes for freezes, images, and styling staleness.

Marklet 1.1 Saving on your terms Marklet saves when you ask it to, and warns you before closing anything unsaved. Prefer the way most Mac apps work? Turn on Auto Save with Versions in Settings and Marklet writes as you type, keeping earlier drafts available from File then Revert To. Files changed outside Marklet Edit the same note in another app and Marklet notices. When both copies changed it shows you exactly what differs and lets you keep yours, take theirs, or combine them. Changes that do not overlap merge on their own. Linked notes Write two square brackets around a note name to link it. Links show whether the note exists, and clicking one opens it in a tab. Click a link to a note you have not written yet and Marklet starts it for you, named and ready. Faster with long documents Very long files now highlight progressively, so typing stays responsive while the rest of the document catches up. Picking up where you left off Marklet can reopen the documents you had open when you last quit, even when macOS is set to close windows for every other app. Intel Macs Marklet now runs natively on both Intel and Apple silicon. Also in this release New tabs open in properly. Reading Mode bug fix. Ordered task lists keep their alignment. Settings explains what the substitution options actually do, and you can choose whether Marklet opens a blank document at launch or restores your last session.
