This update puts you in control of your Vibes. Choose how long yours stays up: 6, 12 or 24 hours. Say who's with you. Tag your friends on a Vibe — they're notified, and anyone can remove themselves in a tap. The volume button takes the photo, just like your phone's camera app. Friends stand out at a glance, with a green ring around their picture. And a Vibe meant only for friends says so clearly. You can finally reply directly to a reply in the comments. Also fixed: • a Vibe posted after you've moved now appears where you are, not where you came from; • the recenter button finds your position again; • nearby Vibes group properly on the map; • the wide-angle lens stays available after switching cameras, and 2x zoom frames correctly.

New: streaks. Post several days in a row and a flame lights up on your Vibes. See who liked a Vibe: tap the heart counter and the list opens. Double-tap a Vibe to like it — in the feed, on a photo, and in the popup that opens from the map. Vibes now suggests friends based on the ones you have in common, and "Invite my friends" shares a link straight from your phone. An occasional reminder invites you to post when your city is alive. Once a day at most, and it can be turned off in Settings. Fixed: the app no longer signs you out when the network hiccups.

You now get a notification when someone sends you a friend request — no need to open the app to spot it. A few interface tweaks and assorted fixes.

New interface: simpler navigation, cleaner and more readable screens, redesigned profiles and search. Sign-up and sign-in: error messages now point precisely to the field that needs fixing. Various fixes and stability improvements.
