You can now create more than one shopping list, for example one for groceries in one supermarket, one for groceries in another supermarket, and one for another store. Create a list from the Shopping tab, give it a name and any emoji, then pick it in the shop to see only what to buy there. In the previous version everything to buy was on one single list. Put a product on one or more lists from the product editor, or many products at once with the new "Select" function (in the ··· menu of a space or in All items within the Spaces tab). The new function "Select" also moves or deletes all the products you select in one go.

Now it is possible to open Tina's scanner straight from the lock screen. On iOS 18 and later you can put Tina's scan button on your lock screen, in Control Center or on the Action Button: one tap opens the camera, ready to add what you bought or take out what you used. In the previous version you had to open the app, go to the Spaces tab, switch to All items and find the scan button. You can also ask Siri to "Scan with Tina". Settings > How to use Tina explains how to set it up. An empty space now shows a drawing of Tina instead of the space's emoji (more Tina artwork!).

Now it is possible to take products out of your spaces by scanning them. When you scan a product at home — in a space, in All items, or from the bag — the scanning sheet has an Add | Remove switch: choose Remove, say how many you used, and the amount in that space goes down. In the previous version a scan at home could only add, so using the last roll of toilet paper meant finding it in your spaces and stepping it down by hand. The amount to buy on your shopping list now follows your stock. If a product is on your list and you use more of it, the list asks for more; if you restock some while it is still low, the list asks for less. An amount you set yourself on the shopping list stays exactly as you set it. The buttons on the scanning sheet no longer show a number ("Add" instead of "Add 1"), and the bag card on the Spaces tab no longer takes up half the screen. Some custom art has also been added (more Tina drawings, yay!).

Complete makeover of the shopping experience. To follow you in the shopping process, now Tina features two lists: a shopping list, where you specify all the products you want to buy, and a shopping bag, where the products you buy in the store end up. Ticking a product off your shopping list now moves it into the bag instead of deleting it. Before, ticking removed the row and changed nothing else, so the list forgot what you had bought and unpacking at home meant finding each product in your spaces yourself. The Shopping tab now has two pills, Shopping list and In the bag, and every product in the bag has a Put away button that adds what you bought to the space you choose. You can also add to the list while you are in the shop. The Shopping tab has an "I need …" bar above the tab bar: type a product and press return to list it, even one your household has never stocked — nothing reaches your spaces until you put it away. The camera beside it scans in the shop and asks whether the product goes on your list or into the bag, and never changes your stock. Scanning at home — in a space, in All items, or from the bag itself — offers to put away what you bought. The intro cards you see the first time you open Tina are now animated (you can see them as well when you click on your Profile on the top right, and then go to "How Tina works").

Now it is possible to add a barcode to an item you added manually. Scanning only ever worked for products Tina had seen before. Anything you added by hand was unrecognised, and scanning it offered to create a second copy of something already sitting in your spaces. Open the item, tap Edit, and use Scan barcode under the note. From then on, scanning that product finds the item in your household and asks how many you bought, instead of creating a new one. An item can hold more than one barcode — the small carton and the large one both point at it — and its details show how many are linked. Renaming an item no longer loses its barcodes. And if you rename a product you keep in more than one space, Tina names the other spaces and asks whether to rename them all or only this one, instead of quietly splitting one product into two.

Invite links you can actually tap. Until now the invite you shared from Settings was a link only Tina understood, so WhatsApp, Messages and the rest showed it as plain text you had to copy by hand. Invites are now ordinary web links. Tapping one opens Tina straight into the household, and if the person doesn't have Tina yet it opens a page showing their invite code, with a link to the App Store. An invite tapped before signing in is no longer lost. Tina holds on to the code and joins the household as soon as you sign in or create your account. Tina also has its own website now, at tinapantry.app, where the guide from Settings is available in all five languages. Password reset emails now come from Tina itself instead of an unbranded sender.

Fixes scanning a product into a space that does not have it yet. • Scanning a product in a space that does not stock it yet now offers to add it to that space. In the previous version, scanning a product in the Basement quietly increased the amount in the Kitchen instead. • The scanning sheet now names the space you are adding to and says whether it has any, so it is always clear where the amount goes. • Scanning from All items (within the Spaces tab) can now send a product to a space that does not have it yet, through "Another space…". • The scanner's own messages, and a space's empty-state text, now read correctly in every language.

Tina now counts your whole home, not each space on its own. • Your shopping list shows one row per product with the total you have at home. • All items (within the Spaces tab) works the same way: one row per product with its total. Tap a row to see every space it is in and change the amount in each one. • Low warnings follow the household total too, so the last jar in the kitchen is not "low" when there are five more in the basement. Small things that came from watching someone use Tina for the first time: • The add sheet now says which space you are adding to. • A one-time tip points out the swipe actions on an item (only in a space, not available in "All items"). • Settings has a new "How to use Tina" guide with all the instructions you need to use the app. • Moving part of an item uses - and + instead of asking you to type a number (which was the case in the previous version).

Scan a barcode to add or restock an item. Point the camera at a product and Tina fills in the name; if it doesn't recognise something, name it once and everyone in your household gets it from then on. Tina now speaks Italian, German, Spanish and French, and follows your phone's language automatically.

Fixed a glitch where the sign-in screen briefly appeared when opening Tina, even though you were already signed in. The app now goes straight to your list.

Notes for your items Jot down which brand to buy, which shelf it lives on, or anything else worth remembering. Tap any item to see its note — it's right there on your shopping list when you're in the shop. A faster way to add things Start typing and Tina suggests what you already keep elsewhere in your home, so the same product keeps one spelling across every space. Pick a suggestion and it brings the unit and low-stock level with it. Easier to tap, easier to read Bigger tap targets on every row, plus and minus buttons for quantities, and units that finally read "1 bottle" instead of "1 bottles".

Fixes text being invisible while typing when your phone is in dark mode. Replaces confusing technical error messages with clear ones that tell you what happened and what to try next.
