- 从“文件”导入用户自有 PDF，或导入用户自有文章包；内容保存在本机
- 阅读、翻页与大纲导航
- 在 Europe PMC、arXiv、bioRxiv、medRxiv、OpenAlex、Unpaywall 等合法来源检索开放获取 PDF；确认来源与许可证后下载并导入
- 在 App 内打开期刊官网或来源网页，用 Google 公开翻译做页内翻译，并把用户自己点到的 PDF 归档进本机文库
- 默认翻译： 选中正文后使用 Apple 设备端翻译（Apple Translation framework；系统语言包准备可能需要下载，翻译默认在设备端完成）
- 可选在线翻译： 用户也可在设置中显式配置 DeepL、国内机器翻译、国内模型（DeepSeek、通义千问、智谱、Kimi、硅基流动），或自己填写模型基座的 API 地址和模型名称；仅当用户选择该在线翻译服务并主动触发翻译时，选中文本会经 HTTPS POST 发送到用户指定的第三方端点
- API 密钥仅保存在本机 Keychain；Apple 设备端翻译不会自动回退到在线翻译服务
- PDF 全文、笔记与高亮不会因翻译而上传
- 可选智能阅读： 用户可显式配置自带智能阅读服务；只有确认发送后，确认页列出的摘录和问题才会发送给所选服务，不会发送 PDF 文件、完整文献或笔记
- 保存收藏、书签、批注与阅读位置，均保留在本机
- 检查并修复书目元数据（DOI / PMID / ISSN 等）
- 按 ISSN 查询极阅 Data 的期刊社区快照（来源、年份、指标与当前预警）
- 浏览 DOAJ 开放获取期刊目录
不提供账号体系、付费墙、订阅、广告、机构访问自动化，也不提供用于绕过出版社访问控制的流程。

文章阅读大幅增强：新增设备端朗读（PDF 与 JATS 文章均可按句跟读并断点续听）、文内搜索、参考文献跳转与复制、批注、笔记、图表编号与交叉引用、系统词典查词；新增作者与机构卡片、JATS 列表与公式（MathML 优先）渲染、剩余阅读时长估算、本机全文索引与文库内搜索；期刊目录新增跨刊继续阅读与期刊筛选。PDF 侧新增区域批注与高亮、Markdown 摘录导出、文字排版与朗读设置。全部新增能力均为本机处理。
