MoonEase does three things, slowly.
Sound. Eight real recordings live inside the app and play offline from the first minute: Light Rain, Heavy Rain, Stereo Rain, Rain and Waves, Bubbling Stream, Stormy Lake, Fireplace, Soft City Hum. Premium adds five more as protected downloads that also work offline. Blend up to eight layers, balance each one, save the mix, name it after the night it saved.
Stories. Bedtime stories for grown-ups, written to be dull in the kindest way and read slowly in a calm recorded voice. Twelve ship with full narration. The rest can be read aloud by your phone. Lengths run from two minutes to about nine, depending on how sleepy you already are.
Breath. A moving guide and a quiet spoken intro so you are not counting in your head. Box breathing is free. 4-7-8 and coherent breathing come with Premium.
The sleep timer fades everything down gently instead of cutting off mid-breath. Free timers run to 30 minutes, Premium timers to eight hours.
There are no ads, no autoplay, no streaks, no feed. The screen stays dim. The only notification MoonEase will ever send is the bedtime reminder you asked for. Mixes and favorites stay on your phone.
Free: eight offline sounds played one at a time, a set of stories, box breathing, favorites, backup, timers to 30 minutes. Premium: the downloadable sounds, eight-layer mixing, ready-made mixes, long timers, every breathing pattern, the full story library and premium themes. $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan.
