Sidewinder 2 joins the app. NEW UNIT — KISS SIDEWINDER 2 The whole unit, taken from the Rev 3 manual: a 3D model you can explode and explore part by part, its own pre-dive, post-dive and maintenance procedures, dual-scrubber duration figures and reference tables. BACKMOUNT OR SIDEMOUNT The Sidewinder 2 rigs either way, so the configuration is now the first step of the pre-dive checklist and is recorded with that run. The 3D model opens in the configuration you picked, and each step points at the parts that configuration actually builds. SERVICE LOG Every maintenance task you log is kept with its date, so the schedule counts down from what you have actually done. The log backs up and syncs with the rest of your data. CELL HEALTH PER UNIT Sensors and controllers do not move between units, so cell health, linearity trends and the service schedule are now tracked separately for each one. The dive log stays in one place with a filter for either unit — a dive is filed under the unit whose checklist it is linked to. DIVE IMPORT Importing from a Shearwater computer now preselects just the newest dive, so the usual import is one tap. Dives read from a Shearwater Cloud .db file now land at the right time of day. RELIABILITY • Opening the app without a signal no longer signs you out. • Sync keeps edits made while you were signed out, and can no longer delete records in the cloud because of a bad read on the phone. • Dive profiles are checked after download, so a corrupted transfer is refused instead of saved over a good one. • Larger, clearer type throughout. Plus a long list of smaller fixes across the checklists, the logbook, the dive profile chart and the 3D viewer.
