Qasd: Qibla Finder & Compass
Prayer Direction to the Kaaba
Only for iPhone

iPhone
Free, and it asks nothing of you — no ads, no account, and it collects nothing. Just a point of light on the curve of the Earth, and the direction to meet it.
QASD — qasd (قصد): intention.
Most qibla apps show you an arrow. QASD shows you a place.
Open it and you stand under a night sky. Below you, the dark curve of the Earth; along its edge, a thin golden horizon. Somewhere on that curve is Mecca — a single point of light, visible even when the Earth itself is in the way. Turn your body until the ring at the center of the screen meets the light. That is your direction of prayer.
THE EXPERIENCE
• A living 3D scene: the Earth's arc, a quiet horizon, gold stars that faintly breathe
• A soft glow at the screen's edge guides you toward the light — or choose text guidance
• A gentle magnetic pull, and a tap of the Taptic Engine when you are aligned
• Two themes: Deep Silence, and Emerald & Gold
• English and Arabic, with full right-to-left support
THE METHOD
• Great-circle (geodesic) bearing to the Kaaba — the shortest path over the Earth's surface
• Gyroscope-fused attitude tracking at 120 Hz: smooth, immediate, steady even near vertical
• True north from the system compass, with an offline World Magnetic Model 2025 as fallback
• A brief calibration ritual on every launch gives the compass time to settle
THE PRIVACY
No server. No account. No ads. No analytics. Your location and orientation never leave your device — they are used only, and locally, to compute a direction.
A NOTE
QASD uses the great-circle direction. Some communities follow the rhumb-line (constant compass bearing) convention instead; QASD does not make a ruling between them.
QASD is a directional aid. Compass accuracy depends on your device and surroundings; for acts of worship, please verify the direction with an authority you trust.
