Big update: FreshTrack now also speaks German, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, with its own iPad layout and several accessibility improvements. FRESHTRACK IN FOUR MORE LANGUAGES The whole app — screens, Siri, Shortcuts and alerts — is now also available in German, French, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese, on top of Spanish and English. If your iPhone is set to one of these languages, FreshTrack no longer falls back to Spanish: it reads in yours. PRODUCT DETAIL ON IPAD, IN TWO COLUMNS On wide screens, a product's detail page now shows the photo and its data in two columns instead of one long strip: easier to read, less scrolling. Also: • The allergen notice now says when the data comes from Open Food Facts. • The shopping list checkbox no longer clips text at large font sizes: it grows with it. • You can now rate FreshTrack right from Settings. • Fixed: rotating the iPad with a product's detail open now correctly opens the side panel.

Big update: iPad gets its own design, adding products is more reliable, and expiry lengths have been checked against official sources. Adding items with the camera and AI is more accurate now: aged cheese no longer gets mistaken for fresh cheese and keeps its full 21 days; the storage spot no longer always starts on Fridge if the product calls for another one; and the expiry date no longer carries over from wherever it was before when the new spot doesn't keep the product — it suggests today instead. Expiry lengths have been checked against FoodKeeper (USDA), the FDA, and Spain's AESAN: opened sauce moves to 14 days in the fridge, vegetables to 7 in the fridge and 10 in the pantry, and closed canned goods now last twice as long. When something doesn't keep well where you're putting it, the app no longer makes up a date — it says so. IPAD GETS ITS OWN DESIGN The Products and Containers grid stops being the iPhone one repeated five times: cards now have their own size, and in wide windows the detail view opens alongside the list instead of covering it. Long text no longer stretches edge to edge. There are keyboard shortcuts: ⌘1 through ⌘4 switch tabs, ⌘N adds a product, and ⌘F searches. At large accessibility text sizes, Products and Containers no longer cut names in half or push the expiry date off screen. Also: • If you turn off expiry alerts in system settings, the app now tells you and takes you straight to turning them back on, instead of still promising them. • Better contrast in the accent color and in the empty-container badge. • Three new illustrations (pasta and rice, dry pantry goods, ready meals) and several product images redrawn without text baked into the artwork. • Icons across the app have been reviewed for consistency. • Fixed: built-in container food types no longer stayed stuck in whatever language the app was first installed in; they now translate too when you change the language in Settings.
