Most gluten scanners hand you a green checkmark and expect you to trust it. GlutenCheck names the ingredient, gives the reasoning, and cites the rule behind it — so you can decide for yourself.
If the barcode isn't in the database, the camera becomes a label reader. No dead end, no "product not found" shrug. That's the moment other scanners give up.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT A LABEL CAN'T TELL YOU
In the United States, "may contain wheat" labeling is voluntary. A product with no warning may still be made on a shared line — the manufacturer simply isn't required to say so.
Silence there implies a safety nobody verified. GlutenCheck reads the warning when it exists, and tells you plainly when there isn't one.

94 ingredients with their aliases, and 113 rules, each carrying reasoning and a source — from the FDA gluten-free rule to GFCO guidance.
Buckwheat isn't wheat. Maltodextrin isn't malt. Distilled vinegar is fine; malt vinegar isn't. Plain "flour" on a US label means wheat. Oats are gluten-free in theory and cross-contaminated in practice. The traps that catch other scanners are written into the ruleset.
