I've lived with tinnitus most of my life. For years I fought it, and fighting it only made it louder. What finally helped wasn't a cure. It was learning to stop listening for it. QuietDrift is built from what worked for me.
HOW IT WORKS
First you match the pitch of your own ringing, one ear at a time. Your tinnitus has a specific pitch, and once the app knows it, it plays that exact tone back to you, softly, underneath a sound you actually like.
Two things tend to happen. Your brain has a hard time telling the outside tone from the inside one, so they blend. And a steady sound slips out of your attention the way a fan or a fridge does after a while.
The other half is acceptance. The spoken sessions aren't about shoving the sound away. They're about loosening its grip, so it takes up less room in your day.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Pitch Match, tuned separately for each ear, because tinnitus is often a different pitch on each side, or only on one. You can switch either ear off entirely, and re-tune whenever you want.
Fourteen music tracks across ambient, piano, lo-fi, folk, bossa nova, jazz, swing and blues.
Eighteen nature soundscapes. Rain on cedar, distant waves, a small creek, a campfire, wind through pines.
Nine spoken sessions on sitting with the ringing, in my own voice and in 8D, so they drift around you rather than sitting flat in your head. Two are full half-hour guided sessions with affirmations orbiting underneath.
A sleep timer, and everything keeps playing once your screen locks.
STRAIGHT TALK
This is relief, not a cure, and it may not work for everyone. There's no cure for tinnitus, and anyone promising one is selling something. What QuietDrift gives you is a way to turn down how much it bothers you, and a little quiet while you're there. Inside the app I lay out what the research actually shows, including where the evidence is thin.
Headphones matter here, especially for the 8D sessions.

QuietDrift Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription: $9.00 per month or $59.00 per year. QuietDrift Lifetime is a one-time purchase of $99.00. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
