The_Game.exe is the social app for the game everyone's been "playing" since the internet was young. Except now, losing is a team sport. HOW IT WORKS • You're always playing. So is everyone in your parties. • The second you remember, own up: tap I LOST THE GAME. • Everyone in every party you're in gets the notification — and the whole crew drops into a 30-minute cooldown. Misery loves a group chat. • During cooldown nobody can lose again. Thirty minutes of blissful, guilt-free peace... until someone's brain betrays them. THE POINT IS TO NOT LOSE The leaderboard ranks your friends by fewest losses. Top of the board isn't the biggest loser — it's the one with the strongest willpower (or the shortest memory). Good luck. DRESS IT UP — 16 RETRO THEMES (2 FREE + 14 IN-APP PURCHASES) A theme re-skins the whole app into a different era — windows, buttons, fonts and desktop all change. Two themes are included free: • Classic 9X — the grey-window desktop that started it all — FREE • DOS Prompt — pure C:\> text mode — FREE The other 14 themes — Phosphor, 48K BASIC, Pocket LCD, 16-BIT Deck, XP Luna, Workbench, Teletext, 1-BIT System, Tab OS, Guestbook, Media Deck, Buddy Chat, Chat Relay and Code Dark — are optional in-app purchases (€0.99 each, one-time). Optional wallpaper packs — solid colors, retro patterns, and your own photo — for the Classic theme are also in-app purchases. MEET THE BUG Your dry, unbothered mascot. It would rather you forgot it existed. It won't. THE FINE PRINT • Free to download and play. The extra themes and wallpapers are optional in-app purchases — cosmetic only, with no gameplay advantage. Restore Purchases is in the app. • Sign in with Apple. No passwords, no email harvesting. • Losing gives you nothing. You've suffered enough. You lost. Might as well make it social.
