iPhone
Sparta Island is your personal strength training log—and your data stays 100% on your iPhone. No account, no cloud, no tracking, no ads.
STRENGTH TRAINING
• Create your own workouts from an exercise library or start a Quick Workout on the fly
• Log sets, reps, and weights right at the machine—with an audible signal at the end of each set
• Keep track of your progress and personal records for each exercise
PLANNING
• Create a workout plan with recurring sessions
• The planner reminds you what’s on the agenda for today
HOME SCREEN WIDGET
• Your next planned session and your streak, without opening the app
• The day's calories and macros as four rings
• Tap to jump straight to starting a workout, scanning food, or logging your weight
STATISTICS
• Dashboard with your key metrics, progress charts, and streaks
• Complete workout history for reference
NUTRITION
• Daily timeline: when and how much you ate, with your workout window laid over it
• Nutrition diary with calorie and goal tracking
• Log foods using the barcode scanner (product data from OpenFoodFacts, the free food database)
PRIVACY AS A PRINCIPLE
• All workout, profile, and nutrition data is stored exclusively locally on your device
• No registration, no analytics tools, no data sharing
• Only internet connection required: optional barcode lookup on OpenFoodFacts
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
• Full backup to a single file — training, nutrition, diary including photos
• Restore on a new device without overwriting what you have logged since
• No account needed, because the backup belongs to you and not to us
LANGUAGE, UNITS AND DISPLAY
• Available in German and English
• Units and date format are set separately from the language: train in English and weigh in kilograms, or the other way round
• Everything is stored metric, so switching back and forth never changes your numbers
• Light and dark themes, following your system settings
Note: Sparta Island is a workout app and is not a substitute for medical or nutritional advice. If in doubt, consult a doctor before starting your workout.

More reliable with your data
If the app couldn't open its database at launch, it used to carry on regardless — with empty lists, and whatever you entered was lost. Now it retries, and if it still can't, it tells you clearly and offers "Try again". Your entries stay on your device.
Fixed
The app could freeze right after the first setup questions — now questions, privacy notice and tour follow one after another. Exercise search stays fully usable while the keyboard is open. An exercise you create mid-workout as one-side-at-a-time now records both sides separately straight away, in quick workouts too. A date of birth the app can't read reliably is now rejected instead of producing a wrong age.
Easier to read
The light themes were glaring, and some labels were hard to make out. Text now has far more contrast in every colour palette and meets the strictest accessibility level.
When you press and hold a button, the whole screen now shows what is about to happen — with a countdown before anything is deleted or finished.
