See everything on your card and lose nothing: a searchable sample library, a health check in plain language, safe cleanup, and verified backups. One-time purchase. TonVault is a Mac companion for your hardware sampler's SD card. After a few months of sampling, a card fills up with sounds you can't quite keep track of. TonVault gives you the overview, and the safety net. It scans your card and turns it into a browsable library, with a waveform and the details that matter for every sample: rate, bit depth, mono or stereo, length, and where it lives. It runs a health check that flags the things your sampler stays quiet about, in plain language. And it makes verified backups, so you know your work is actually safe. What it does: - A searchable sample library with waveforms and click-to-hear playback - A one-pass health check: non-48 kHz samples, files it can't read, duplicates, empty folders - A byte-identical duplicate finder that never deletes on the card. It quarantines copies to your Mac and can put them all back - Verified, versioned backups. Every file is checksummed on both sides of the copy, and any backup can be re-verified later What it does not do, on purpose: - It never deletes anything on your card - It doesn't read or change projects, patterns or parameter locks. It's a companion, not an editor - No account, no cloud, no tracking. Everything runs on your Mac One-time purchase. No subscription.

Converting a large number of samples no longer looks like the app has frozen. It was never the conversion itself that was slow. TonVault was drawing the entire list of files before it showed you anything, which on a card with several thousand samples meant a long wait with nothing on screen and no way out. It now builds the list as you scroll it, tells you how far along it is, and lets you stop. If you do stop, the files that already finished are complete and stay where they are, and the rest are left untouched. Backups and verification show their progress the same way. Duplicate detection is also considerably faster on cards with many samples of the same size, because it now compares the beginning of a file first and only reads the whole thing when it has to. Thank you to bengersfood on Elektronauts, who ran into the conversion problem on almost five thousand files and described it clearly enough to find all three causes behind it.
