Studying for the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines? Verdant is built to get you ready. It walks you through the whole syllabus, drills it until it sticks, and gives you a real way to practise tasting, all in plain words you will actually remember.
The whole app is free. Every lesson, every region, every practice question, with nothing locked away. There is no premium tier and no "upgrade to keep going." Ads keep it free for everyone, and if you would rather study in quiet, one $4.99 purchase removes them for good. That is the only thing money changes here, and there are no subscriptions.
WHAT YOU GET
- Lessons across the full WSET Level 2 syllabus, written from scratch in clear, friendly English.
- 30 grape varieties and 94 wine regions, cross-linked so you can move from a grape, to where it grows, to the questions that test it.
- 974 practice questions, each graded the second you answer and explained, so a wrong guess still teaches you something.
- The Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT) as a guided flow you can run on an actual glass, from look to smell to taste to conclusion.
HOW IT HELPS YOU REMEMBER
- Structure and flavour get hands-on. You set tannin, acidity, body, and the rest on a tactile dial, and build your flavour notes from a bank of real tasting words. By the time you sit the exam, that vocabulary is muscle memory.
- Practice sessions lean into what you keep getting wrong, so your time lands where it counts.
- The notes you write are yours. They stay on your phone and grow into a record of the wines and milestones you have worked through.
WHY VERDANT
Level 2 is a short, intense stretch of study, and Verdant is built for it. Run a few questions on the train, read a lesson over lunch, then pour a glass on the weekend and taste your way through the SAT. It works offline, so a weak signal never ends a study session.
Verdant is an independent study companion. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by WSET.
Pour a glass, open a lesson, and study well.
