A new mode, a leaderboard for every artist, and a first run that actually sets the game up for you. FREE FALL The whole preview plays and your points fall the entire time — a thousand at the downbeat, about four hundred five seconds in, nothing by the end. No "hear more", no stages. Answer the moment you know it. ARTIST LEADERBOARDS Every collection has its own board now. The top hundred are listed by name and score; below that you see your own score and that you are not on the board yet. Pick a name once and it follows you onto every board — no account, no identifier attached to a score. A FIRST RUN THAT ASKS Thirteen short steps instead of four slides: your name, how you listen, the decades you know, your artists — and one real song, timed, which is what sets your starting snippet length. Nothing invented; the number you are shown is one you just earned. ALSO FIXED • The points no longer start falling before the song has loaded. The ceiling holds until the snippet is actually in hand. • A resumed round scores properly. It used to pay full marks however long you took. • The score readout no longer draws two numbers on top of each other when you miss. One figure: what was on the table, and then what became of it. • A pack-scoped Endless or Survival run no longer overwrites your whole-catalogue best.

Lower prices, and a proper start. Tack Pro and Tack Pro Max both cost less than they did. Nothing was taken out to get there. Opening Tack for the first time now takes a minute and asks four things: whether you want notifications at all, before it sends any; whether to build rounds from your Apple Music; which artists you actually listen to; and roughly how old you are — that last one only so the snippets start at a length that suits you instead of one we guessed. Then it hands you a free round built from an artist you named. ALSO NEW • Quick Five — five songs instead of ten, for when you have two minutes. • Snippet length is now anything from a tenth of a second to five seconds, in tenths, instead of four fixed presets. • The coach reads how you are actually scoring: it suggests a shorter snippet when you are winning too easily, and a longer one when you are not. • My Music gives everyone three free rounds before it asks for anything. • The result screen shows the pack you played, artwork and all. • Appearance follows your phone — light when it is light, dark when it is dark. • Write to me from Settings, and get an answer back.

Play in your own language. Classic now opens with a choice: English pop as always, or Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, 中文 and 한국어. Every language is free, and each one is a real catalogue — Tarkan and Sezen Aksu, Rammstein and Grönemeyer, Mecano and Rosalía, Piaf and Stromae, Battisti and Måneskin, Amália and Caetano, Teresa Teng and Jay Chou, IU and BIGBANG. Sixty-four new artist packs came with them, in their own folders. ALSO NEW • Coins — earn one for every song you name. Spend them on another life in Endless, or on an hour of Tack Pro. Coins are earned by playing, never sold. • Appearances — sixteen backdrops now, light ones included. • Your rank and your stats: your best artist, your blind spot, the song you have never once missed. • Tack Pro Max — everything in Tack Pro, plus every artist pack. • A nudge if you keep missing: one tap makes the snippets longer. • The other games we make now live behind a tab, instead of nowhere. Subscribers from before Pro Max existed keep everything, at the price they already pay.

Challenge links are more reliable now — a second challenge from a friend no longer gets stuck behind an earlier one that didn't load. Otherwise, this update brings Tack's App Store page into German, Spanish, French and Hindi, the languages the app itself already speaks.

Challenge links are short and shareable now. Sharing a round used to produce a link several hundred characters long, which messaging apps cut off on screen - friends saw a bare web address and assumed it was broken. A challenge link is now a handful of characters and reads like a link should. Links shared from older versions keep working.
