$4.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Write your own words in Ogham, the earliest Celtic script.
Carved along the edges of Irish standing stones from the 4th to 6th centuries, Ogham runs along a single stemline (the druim). Each letter is one to five strokes, and because so many carry tree names it is known as the Tree Alphabet.
Features
- Inscribe: type in English and watch it become Ogham. Show it upright like a standing stone.
- Trees: all 20 letters with their tree, meaning, and lore.
- Lore: the history of Ogham, the four aicmi, and how to read it.
About Ogham
It was a script for setting a name in stone, not a tool of divination. This is a reference app for the writing system itself.
All glyph shapes are a geometric reconstruction of public-domain historical forms.
