Pitchling trains the skill musicians actually want: recognising a note by ear and naming it with confidence. Not a quiz you memorise, but a daily practice that reshapes how you hear.
THE PATH
Thirty levels across five stages, from your first two notes to all twelve across the register. Each level introduces exactly one new idea and holds you there until it sticks. You start with C and G, one big leap apart. You finish naming any note, in any octave, on any instrument.
SIX STUDIOS
When you want to drill one thing:
• Sing It Back — hear a note, sing it back, and see your pitch scored in cents
• Pitch Match — a note plays, then fades. Rebuild it from memory on the dial
• Daily Calibration — a cold-start check before any reference tone plays
• Intervals — name the distance between two notes
• Note Drill — your notes, your octaves, your instrument, your session length
• Octaves — same note, five floors. Name the register
FIVE REAL VOICES
Grand piano sampled from a Yamaha Disklavier Pro, plus electric piano, nylon guitar, steel guitar, strings, and a pure sine tone. Hearing the same note across different timbres is what makes the skill transfer to real music.
SEE YOUR EAR IMPROVE
An Ear Score built from four separate abilities, a chromatic wheel showing which of the twelve notes you actually own, and your personal confusion pairs so you know exactly what to practise next.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT THIS TRAINS
True inborn absolute pitch is rare, and no app can hand it to an adult. What daily training demonstrably does improve is reliable note naming: an internalised reference pitch, gradually widened note sets, register placement, and exposure across instruments. That is exactly what Pitchling drills, no more and no less.
