Sail from the longhouse to a board carved in wood and gold, and play the way you like: alone against an opponent that genuinely pushes you, across the couch, or online with friends anywhere in the world.
A WORLD OF TRADITIONS
Twelve ways to play, each with its own real rules — not reskins. English draughts, International 10×10, Brazilian, Russian shashki, Spanish and Italian dama, Czech draughts, Thai makhos, Canadian 12×12, Turkish and Greek dama, and Giveaway, where losing every piece is how you win. Boards run 8×8, 10×10 and 12×12; the Turkish and Greek games use every square and move sideways. Pick a tradition from the World screen and it keeps its own leaderboard.
AN OPPONENT WORTH BEATING
Four difficulty levels — Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert — running on a real engine: alpha-beta search with move ordering, capture quiescence, and iterative deepening. The ladder is calibrated by self-play in every tradition, so each level is measurably stronger than the one below it. Expert will make you work.
COACH ME
Switch hints on mid-game and see the recommended move highlighted right on the board. Undo takes back your last move, including the computer's reply. When a game ends, Watch Replay steps through it move by move — so a loss turns into a lesson.
RISE THROUGH THE RANKS
Every game you finish earns XP — harder computer opponents are worth more, online games are worth the most, and your first game each day in every tradition earns a bonus. Climb an endless ladder of Norse titles, from Wanderer to Jarl to Grand King, with levels that only ever go up. Face a stronger player online and a challenge multiplier raises what every result is worth.

YOUR RULES
Toggle forced captures and flying (long-range) kings, per match or as your default for new games. Each tradition locks the rules that define it and leaves the rest to you. The full standard rules underneath: multi-jumps, king promotion, threefold-repetition and no-progress draw detection.

Online, live and nearby play run on a rebuilt, shared foundation. Fixes that came with it:
• A game can no longer award XP twice.
• A rematch offered in the first second after a game is no longer refused.
• A dropped nearby connection no longer leaves a phantom invitation behind.
• If your account can't send live invitations, the game tells you why instead of waiting on a spinner.
Also in this version:
• Coach: turning Coach on shows a one-time notice, and a hinted game leaves your personal bests untouched.
• Game Center: when you're signed out, the sign-in card and the trophies button bring back Game Center's own sign-in.
• The forced-capture highlight shows only the jump you must take.
• A resumed game can be watched back as a replay.
• Buttons and the turn line no longer clip in seven languages.
