Downloads Organiser watches a user-specified folder and automatically sorts every new file into the right place — PDFs to PDFs, images to Images, invoices to Finance, and so on. No manual dragging, no clutter building up. HOW IT WORKS When a file appears in the specified folder, Downloads Organiser matches it against your rules first, then against 12 built-in file categories, and plans the move. In preview mode (the default), you review planned moves and apply them with one click. With Auto Organise enabled (Pro), files move the moment they land. RULES ENGINE Create rules that route specific files by name, extension, size, or source website. "Invoices to Finance", "Resumes to Career", "Files over 500 MB to Large Files" — in the order you choose, with the first match winning. SAFE BY DESIGN Nothing is ever permanently deleted. Files go to subfolders or the Trash — always recoverable. Every move is logged in History with a one-click Undo. Restore All reverses everything at once. SMART RENAME Cleans up messy web filenames before filing them: removes browser duplicate suffixes like (1) and [1], decodes percent-encoding, and tidies screenshot timestamps. Offline, no network involved. TOPIC INFERENCE Reads keywords in filenames to infer a topic — Finance, Travel, Health, Sport, and more — and files documents into matching subfolders. Runs entirely on-device; no data leaves your Mac, ever.
