When somebody asks to join your network through this Mac, the request now reaches you. Until now it could be refused before you were ever asked about it. Sharing a folder for writing no longer means letting people delete from it. Deleting is a separate permission now, off unless you turn it on for that folder. Control a Mac, with the free Mac Helper. Family can now take the mouse and keyboard on this Mac to help, not just watch it. New: screen help for families. Click View on a computer's card to watch its screen and guide whoever is sitting there. And with your permission, family can now watch this Mac's screen too: view only, nobody can click or type, a red bar stays on screen the whole time and one click stops it. Plus small fixes and improvements.

Closing the window no longer disconnects you: HearthWire keeps running in the background, receiving messages, sharing folders and ringing on calls. Click its Dock icon to bring the window back. Incoming calls now ring until you answer, and a call cancelled by the other side no longer stays on your screen. You can now call another Mac. When browsing shared folders, files show a clear download bar and open by themselves when ready. Plus small fixes.
