Sumo Stable puts you in the role of an oyakata, responsible for training rikishi, producing a yokozuna, and building the finest heya in Japan. Study each wrestler's abilities, physique, age, fatigue, and injuries, then set an individual training plan. Develop power, technique, and fighting spirit evenly—or focus on a rikishi's greatest strength. Combine five training options, including rest, with five chanko meal plans focused on goals such as gaining weight, high protein, vegetables and fish, or stamina. Build a development system all your own. Six honbasho tournaments are held each year, with 15 days of competition in every basho. Ability, size, form, and learned techniques all affect the result. Each bout shows the winning kimarite and any special abilities activated. Keep posting kachi-koshi winning records to climb the banzuke—from jonokuchi to juryo, makuuchi, and ultimately yokozuna. Your wrestlers' results matter, but so do your stable's overall win rate and number of sekitori as you compete with rival heya across Japan. Scout promising recruits, give them shikona ring names, and welcome them into your stable. Choose from domestic prospects or use in-game funds to recruit wrestlers from overseas. More rikishi require more room, however. Expanding training facilities and other buildings means paying construction costs as well as annual upkeep. Balance income and expenses, reputation, and supporters as you pursue both sporting glory and a thriving business. Every weekly decision shapes your wrestlers' growth and your stable's future. During certain weeks, you may watch an ad to double the experience earned in the next standard training session. Tournament records, career-high ranks, stable rankings, and facility plans are all recorded for review at any time. Begin with a small heya and turn it into Japan's number-one sumo stable, home to a new generation of champions. Make your decisions and write a new chapter in sumo history.
