Capture SysEx dumps byte for byte, decode every field against the spec, verify checksums the way each manufacturer actually defines them, and send back safely. Syxloom is an offline MIDI System Exclusive librarian for synthesists, repair benches, studios, and anyone keeping older hardware alive. Capture a dump from an instrument, see exactly what arrived, and send it back when you need it — with the byte-level detail a service manual assumes you have. CAPTURE Syxloom finds every CoreMIDI source and destination, including USB interfaces, Bluetooth MIDI, network sessions, and other apps on this device. Dumps arrive across dozens of MIDI packets; Syxloom reassembles them byte for byte, passes interleaved clock and active-sensing bytes through without corrupting the payload, and flushes a message that stalls part-way so a failing cable shows up instead of vanishing. INSPECT Every message is decoded field by field — manufacturer, device ID, model, command, address, data, checksum — and each field highlights its own bytes in the hex dump. Framing and the seven-bit rule are checked, and a status byte that truncated a dump is reported at its exact offset. CHECKSUMS DONE PROPERLY Roland DT1 and RQ1 checksums are verified over the address and data bytes only. Yamaha bulk dumps are verified over the data block, and declared byte counts are compared against what actually arrived. Parameter changes, dump requests, and the many manufacturers that use no checksum at all are reported as "not applicable" rather than given a false failure. LIBRARY Import a .syx file and a bank becomes one addressable entry per patch. Tag by device, bank, and project, search everything, add notes, paste hex straight from a service manual, and export any selection back out as a standard .syx file. SEND, CAREFULLY Choose a destination, queue what you want to send, and see the byte count, message count, and estimated wire time before anything leaves. Transmission is paced against the destination's own maximum SysEx rate, with a pause between messages you control for instruments that need time to write each patch. Progress is live and the transfer can be stopped mid-flight. OFFLINE REFERENCE Manufacturer IDs and the MMA regional blocks, framing and the seven-bit rule, checksum coverage vendor by vendor, universal sub-IDs, the Identity Reply layout byte by byte, and a safe-send checklist. Everything is stored on this device. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no in-app purchases, no subscription. Sending System Exclusive can overwrite patches and change global settings. Back up the instrument first and follow the manufacturer's own MIDI documentation.
