OxalWise — Oxalate Tracker

Kidney Stone Diet & Low Ox

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Bands, not decimals. A daily budget, not a ban list. No accounts, no ads, no subscription — just the atlas, the tracker, and the science. Spinach, cooked, half a cup: 755 milligrams of oxalate — more than most stone formers' entire daily budget, in one side dish. Almonds by the ounce can do the same. Most oxalate guides just tell you to avoid these foods. OxalWise tells you what to eat instead. OxalWise is a private, no-account food reference for people managing calcium-oxalate kidney stones through diet. Search 316 foods, organized into four plain-language bands — low, moderate, high, very high — instead of decimals you have to interpret yourself. Every entry states its serving size and comes with a swap: almonds run high, macadamias barely register; spinach is very high, kale is close in nutrition and a fraction of the oxalate. Set a daily oxalate budget (50, 100, 150 mg, or your own number — most care teams suggest 100, some set 50) and log what you eat with one tap. Watch the ring, not a spreadsheet. The Science guide covers what actually matters: the five levers of stone prevention — fluid, dietary calcium taken with meals, sodium, oxalate, and citrate. Cutting calcium is the intuitive move and the wrong one: calcium eaten with food binds oxalate in your gut before it's absorbed. Boiling and draining high-oxalate vegetables removes roughly a third to over half; steaming and baking remove almost none. No accounts. No ads. No subscription. No analytics. Your tracker log stays on your device — we never see it, and we couldn't sell it if we wanted to. The Food Atlas, Science guide, and FAQ are free forever. The Daily Tracker gives you 10 free logs to try it; after that, a single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited logging for good. No recurring charge, ever. OxalWise is an educational reference, not medical advice. Always follow your physician or registered dietitian's guidance, especially if you have kidney disease, enteric hyperoxaluria, or a history of stones.
