Landscape – the biggest change in this update. Road4Trip now rotates. With your iPhone sideways in a car mount, the app turns with it: tours, maps, photos and settings lay themselves out anew instead of stubbornly staying upright. Maps adapt to the orientation as well. Held sideways they become flatter, leaving room below for distance, driving time and stops – rather than one map filling the entire screen. Thank you for using this app.

ON THE ROAD TOGETHER – THE BIGGEST CHANGE When you share a trip, you can see where the others are while you are driving. One switch is all it takes – and you find each other at the pass, after a break, or when someone takes longer than planned. Only the most recent location is ever stored, never a track: no movement profile is created. Switch it off and your location is gone immediately, or by itself after 30 minutes at the latest. The data stays in your iCloud – it never passes through anyone else's server. WEATHER ALONG THE ROUTE If your trip has a date within the next ten days, you see the weather for the planned time – at the start, at the destination and along the way. If rain is expected anywhere on the route, it says so right at the top. SYNC NOW TELLS YOU WHEN Settings used to say "active". That only meant the sync was set up – not that anything ever arrived. Now it tells you when something was last actually exchanged with iCloud, and a button checks it right away. If nothing gets through for days, the app says so instead of keeping quiet. EASIER TO USE The map inside a trip can be tapped and moved in full screen. Photos open large, with paging and zoom. "Plan with others" is no longer hidden in the menu but sits visibly inside the trip. Plus much better support for VoiceOver and large text – and if something does go wrong, the app finally tells you what. Thank you for using this app.

New: hiking – and the elevation to go with it. Alongside car, motorcycle, scooter, bicycle and on foot, there is now “Hiking” as its own mode of travel. For trips within Switzerland, Road4Trip now shows how many metres of elevation go up and down. For hiking and walking this becomes a walking time based on the Swiss hiking formula – there, the climb counts, not just the distance. The elevation data comes from swisstopo. Only coordinates are transmitted, nothing about you. Safe travels – and happy hiking!

ON ALL YOUR DEVICES Your routes, stops and history appear everywhere you are signed in with the same Apple Account. Photos stay on the device by default because they count towards your iCloud storage – a switch in the settings changes that. SHARE TRIPS AND PLAN TOGETHER Open a route and tap “Plan with others”. Whoever accepts finds the trip under “Shared with me”. Everyone can suggest stops and vote on them – and if you want to meet on the way, Road4Trip suggests a meeting point halfway. ON YOUR WRIST Road4Trip now comes to Apple Watch: your next planned trip with date and distance, a complication for the watch face, marking a trip as driven right on the watch – and one tap sends the trip to your iPhone. IN YOUR CALENDAR A planned trip can be added as an event with a single tap. Safe travels!

WIDGET FOR THE HOME SCREEN Your next planned trip always in view: name, how many days to go, mode of transport and kilometres. One tap opens the app. The widget comes in two sizes – to add it, press and hold the home screen, choose “Edit Home Screen”, then tap the plus at the top. ON THE LOCK SCREEN AS WELL In two shapes, rectangular and single-line. That way you see the next trip without unlocking your iPhone. BACKUPS NOW LIVE IN ICLOUD DRIVE Until now backups were kept on the iPhone only. They now go automatically into the “Road4Trip” folder in your iCloud Drive – so they survive a lost or broken iPhone too. The last five are kept, and photos are included only if you want them to be. Thank you for using Road4Trip! This version speaks three more languages – and finally looks after your routes. FOUR LANGUAGES Road4Trip is now available in German, English, French and Italian. The language follows your iPhone; Settings → Language takes you straight to the choice. Dates, times and numbers adapt as well. Kilometres stay kilometres. FIXED: BUTTONS IN YOUR LANGUAGE Labels such as “Edit”, “Delete” or “Cancel” appeared in English because the app wrongly declared itself as English to the system. That is corrected – the App Store now shows the right language too. NEW: BACKUP Road4Trip backs up your routes, stops, notes, ratings and history – automatically every day, week or month, or by hand at any time with “Back up now”. You decide whether photos are included. The last five backups are kept. You find them in the Files app under “On My iPhone → Road4Trip” and can copy them to iCloud Drive or to your computer. If something does get lost, “Restore backup” brings it all back. Safe travels!

BEHOBEN: DIE NAVIGATION STARTET AM RICHTIGEN ORT Bisher bekam die Karten-App keine Startadresse und begann deshalb an deinem aktuellen Standort – während die angezeigten Kilometer ab dem ersten Stopp gerechnet waren. Wer nicht zufällig dort stand, fuhr eine andere Strecke als geplant. Jetzt wird der Start mit übergeben, und die gefahrene Strecke stimmt mit der angezeigten überein. START UND ZIEL SIND BESCHRIFTET In der Stopp-Liste steht jetzt, was was ist: Start, Zwischenstopp, Ziel. Verschieben lässt sich weiterhin alles, auch Start und Ziel. LOSFAHREN AB – DU HAST DIE WAHL Bei jeder Route einstellbar: ab dem Start der Route (neu der Standard) oder ab deinem aktuellen Standort. Beim zweiten schreibt die App unter die Karte, dass die Anfahrt zu den Kilometern dazukommt, statt eine zu kleine Zahl zu zeigen. ZUHAUSE Lege in den Einstellungen fest, wo deine Touren meistens losgehen. Danach setzt du diesen Ort in jeder Route mit einem Tipp als Start ein. Gute Fahrt!

FOTOS ZU JEDER FAHRT Füge einer gefahrenen Tour beliebig viele Bilder hinzu. Aus einem Eintrag mit Datum und Kilometern wird so eine Erinnerung. Die Bilder bleiben auf deinem iPhone. JAHRESRÜCKBLICK Alle Touren eines Jahres auf einer Karte, dazu die Kennzahlen: gefahrene Kilometer, Zeit unterwegs, Anzahl Touren, längste Fahrt und die Aufteilung nach Verkehrsmittel. Ein schöner Rückblick auf die Saison. GPX-IMPORT UND -EXPORT Tausche Routen mit Komoot, Calimoto, Kurviger und allen anderen Apps, die GPX verstehen. Eine bestehende Tour exportierst du direkt aus der Detailansicht, fremde GPX-Dateien landen als neue Route in Road4Trip. VORSCHLÄGE ENTLANG DER ROUTE Tankstelle, Restaurant, Café oder Park unterwegs gesucht? Road4Trip zeigt dir passende Orte entlang deiner geplanten Strecke – mit einem Tippen werden sie zum Zwischenstopp an der richtigen Stelle. SIRI-KURZBEFEHL «Starte meine Tour» genügt: Die nächste geplante Fahrt startet per Sprache, ohne dass du das iPhone in die Hand nimmst. KILOMETER IM HINTERGRUND Die Fahrstrecke wird jetzt schon berechnet, sobald du eine Route anlegst oder änderst – nicht erst beim Öffnen. In der Liste stehen damit von Anfang an echte Kilometer und die echte Fahrzeit statt einer Schätzung. Viel Spass unterwegs!

Velo und zu Fuss werden über eigene Wege richtig berechnet. • Route duplizieren und umkehren: eine Tour als Vorlage nehmen oder den Rückweg mit einem Tippen erzeugen. • Suche und Sortierung in der Routenliste – nach Datum, Name oder Distanz. • Mehr Statistik in der History und ein übersichtlicherer Planungs-Tab. • Neue Einstellungen mit Erscheinungsbild, Standard-Verkehrsmittel und bevorzugter Karten-App. • Hilfe und Datenschutz neu direkt in der App.
