Road4Trip is your tour planner for great drives.
Instead of typing destinations one by one into a maps app, you put your route together once – start, intermediate stops and destination, in the order that suits you. One tap hands it over to Apple Maps or Google Maps. And what you have driven stays on record.
ROUTES WITH SEVERAL STOPS
Search for places and addresses, add them to your route and drag them into order. The first stop is the start, the last one the destination – labelled, so it is clear where the journey goes. If you usually set off from the same place, save a home and add it as the start with one tap.
THE MAP AT A GLANCE
Every route shows the actual course, the real driving distance and the travel time – not the straight line, but the road you will really take.
MATCHED TO YOUR VEHICLE
Car, motorcycle, scooter, bicycle or on foot. Bicycle and on foot follow different paths and are calculated accordingly.
SET OFF STRAIGHT AWAY
One tap hands the route to Apple Maps or Google Maps – with the start and every intermediate stop. A voice shortcut works too.
SUGGESTIONS ALONG THE ROUTE
Looking for a petrol station, restaurant, café or park on the way? Road4Trip shows suitable places along your route and inserts them as a stop in the right position.
PLAN YOUR TRIPS
Set a date and time. The “Planning” tab lists all upcoming trips by date – so Sunday’s outing is not forgotten.
A TRAVEL DIARY, NOT A LIST
Mark a tour as completed, add photos, stars and notes. The history adds up kilometres, time and trips, and the year in review shows all of a year’s drives on one map.
GPX AND BACKUP
Exchange routes as GPX with Komoot, Calimoto or Kurviger. And back up everything – automatically daily, weekly or monthly, or by hand at any time.
EVERYTHING STAYS WITH YOU
No user account, no sign-in, no advertising, no trackers, no data collection. Your routes live on your iPhone and – if you are signed in to iCloud – in your own iCloud, so they are on all your devices. The provider runs no server and has no access to any of it.
Road4Trip speaks German, English, French and Italian – for everyone who likes being on the road, by car, motorcycle or camper.
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Landscape – the biggest change in this update.
Road4Trip now rotates. With your iPhone sideways in a car mount, the app turns with it: tours, maps, photos and settings lay themselves out anew instead of stubbornly staying upright.
Maps adapt to the orientation as well. Held sideways they become flatter, leaving room below for distance, driving time and stops – rather than one map filling the entire screen.
Thank you for using this app.
