Open the app for this week's short overview, one practical care or play idea, or the complete current-stage guide. Best Dad keeps useful guidance calm and easy to scan when you are tired.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
START STRONG IN THE FIRST 3 WEEKS
Get focused newborn guidance from day one: feeding and fullness cues, safe sleep, cord and bathing care, diaper signals, skin-to-skin, brief tummy time, simple face-and-voice play, formula safety when relevant, gentle soothing, and a clear handover plan for hard moments. Week 3 also includes an illustrated belly-comfort routine only after the navel has healed, with clear stop cues.
SEE THE WEEK AT A GLANCE
The first dashboard card opens a short overview of baby's current week. See what may be happening now, what matters most, and what is coming next without reading a long chapter.
OPEN THE FULL GUIDE
Tap Full guide on the dashboard for complete care, bonding, play, safety, milestone, warning-sign, and coming-up guidance. Move from birth to the first birthday, with corrected age used for developmental play when appropriate and chronological age retained for health and feeding guidance.
DO ONE USEFUL THING
Start one timely activity in seconds. Swap it if it does not fit the moment, follow the short steps, and mark it done without pressure.
SEE HOW TO DO IT
Use step-by-step position illustrations and safety cues for tummy time, gentle belly massage, rolling reach, supported sitting, and other stage-appropriate play.
ASK THE PRIVATE COACH
Ask about sleep, feeding, crying, soothing, safety, play, or milestones. The Coach retrieves answers on device from a bounded library of source-linked guidance and shows where the information came from. It does not browse the web or invent a diagnosis.
BUILD CONFIDENCE, NOT PRESSURE
Mark activities and milestones as you go. Milestones are presented as a guide, not a deadline.
READY WHEN YOU NEED IT
Choose Morning updates for one short, age-aware tip, fact, idea, or occasional dad joke at 8:00. Stage & safety reminders announce the next phase or a timely safety heads-up, and open the relevant Quick overview. Both are local notifications you can change in Settings.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account is required. Baby and family details, progress, photos, and Coach questions stay on your device. After Get started, privacy-minimized Amplitude analytics are enabled by default and receive only allowlisted app actions and performance measurements associated with a pseudonymous SDK device identifier—never names, birth dates, profile choices, SOS use, photos, notification text, or Coach text. Apple's native aggregate attribution may report campaign performance without IDFA, cross-app tracking, or third-party advertising SDKs.
Guidance includes links to named sources such as the American Academy of Pediatrics' HealthyChildren.org, CDC, NHS, WHO, and UNICEF. Source attribution does not mean those organizations endorse Best Dad.
IMPORTANT
Best Dad provides general educational information and activity ideas. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and does not replace your baby's clinician or local emergency services. If you have a medical concern, contact a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, call local emergency services.
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Best Dad now supports English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Swedish, and Polish. It follows your iPhone language by default, falls back to English, and lets you switch languages in Settings. The interface, guides, activities, reminders, widgets, Siri shortcuts, and Coach content are localized for quick, clear help.
