Really? — Screen Time Blocker

Break the reach for your phone

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Open Instagram and "#3 today, #184 overall. Really?" comes up first. No waiting, no lecture - just the number, and a choice. You opened Instagram. You don't know why. Your hand just went there. Really? steps in at that moment. When you open an app you've registered, this comes up first: 3rd time today 184th time so far Really? [ No, not now ] Open it anyway That's all it does. It doesn't make you wait or lecture you. It shows you the number and makes you choose. The judgment is yours. ■ How it works - Connect Screen Time once and choose all the apps you want to watch in one picker - If you go in, the app opens for 15 minutes and Really? returns afterward - Turning away does not raise the number. Only going in is counted - From the very first time, you transcribe the line on the screen before you can go in. Copy out your count, or a study-motivation line - you choose which - From the 5th time the line grows longer: copy out your count and your goal and the days left come first; copy a motivation line and two lines are joined - You decide how many entries a day skip the writing. It starts at 0; lowering it applies now, raising it applies the next day - The day turns over at 4 AM. YouTube at 2 AM counts as yesterday ■ Free - Watch 2 apps - Today's count, running total, and a turned-away chart (all apps or one) - 1 goal date — shown as a countdown on the prompt screen (exams, tests, deadlines) ■ Pass - Watch up to 50 apps - Daily entry limit — it doesn't block you; past the limit you transcribe that you're going over - Usage reminders — at 5 and 10 minutes inside the 15-minute window you opened (timing is up to iOS) - Active hours — it only asks during the hours you set - Save and switch between several goal dates - Unlimited lines of your own - My Pattern: how often you tried and how often you turned away, and the hours you waver most - Monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime pass (no renewal) ■ Good to know - While an app is locked, its notifications don't arrive either — Apple blocks the app and its notifications together. Outside active hours they arrive normally - There is no server, so your app list, lines, and records live on each device separately ■ Everything stays on your device There is no server. There is no account. We do not collect what you look at or how long you use it. We do not save usage-duration history. Your records never leave your device. — Subscription: monthly and yearly passes renew automatically and can be cancelled anytime in your App Store account settings. The lifetime pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew. • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

The shield now always brings you to the app. • Tap "Open it anyway" on a locked app and the Really? screen always comes up. "Just open it" is gone • From the very first time, you type the sentence shown, word for word. No more free-form reasons • From the 5th time the sentence gets longer: your goal and days left come first, and two lines are joined • Instant entries are a pill next to "Really?": tap to set it, or "Go in now 2/5" to skip typing. It hides once used up Where your pass stands. • Under Manage subscription: which pass, and when and how much it renews. Home warns three days before • If a payment fails, your pass stays on for now and a card asks you to check your payment method • Waiting for family approval? Home has a "Check if approved" button • With a lifetime pass, a subscription can't be charged. "Restore subscription" is now "Restore purchases" Goal dates. • Days left reads "97 days left" instead of "D-97" • A date that has already passed can no longer be saved as a goal • After your goal passes, locks lift at midnight and nothing locks while you rest Small things. • The 15 minutes end on a whole minute - no more locking with seconds left on the timer • The grey "OK" when the 15 minutes run out no longer opens a new 15 minutes • If active hours began but nothing is locked, Home says so - tap to fix • It says up front that a daily limit doesn't block you and a locked app's notifications don't arrive • If Screen Time access was revoked or this is a new device, it asks you to pick your apps again
